To ensure we are equipping our readers with all the information they need, we will continue to report on all travel, safety, and COVID-related news that could impact a Disney Parks visit.
As we prepare for what’s expected to be a busy travel season this summer, Disney parks and resorts around the world are updating their health and safety guidelines. In Disney World, the face mask requirement was dropped in February, and Aulani’s COVID-related travel requirements were altered about one month later.
Over in Disneyland Paris, there are lots of changes coming to the park. We saw Minnie Mouse debut a fabulous new outfit, plus some new food and merchandise hit the park for the 30th Anniversary. Now, Disney shared a new update to its health and safety guidelines. Let’s take a look.
On March 2nd, guests were no longer required to wear a face mask in Disneyland Paris, though Disney stated that masks were still recommended for certain experiences. Now, there’s been another update to the health and safety policy. Starting on March 14th, 2022, Vaccine Passes and Health Passes will no longer be required to enter Disneyland Paris.
For reference, a Vaccine Pass is a type of certificate that proves that a person is fully vaccinated. Similarly, a Health Pass is used to verify that someone is either fully vaccinated, received a negative PCR or Antigen test within a certain time period, or has met certain requirements after testing positive for COVID-19. These changes reflect the French government’s guidance, and as always, the current guidelines are subject to change.
This new change comes shortly after Disneyland Paris’s 30th Anniversary celebration, which began on March 6th. The celebration features new merchandise, snacks, and some new shows. Later in the year, Disney’s second Avengers Campus is set to open at the Walt Disney Studios Park.
We will continue to look out for more changes to Disney’s health and safety guidelines, so stay tuned for more news!
