There’s one place in Disney World that we definitely don’t think gets the love it deserves…
…Disney Springs! This shopping and dining location is completely FREE to visit (and parking is free!), and there’s so much to do — from delicious treats to unique merchandise, and some amazing entertainment. And if you haven’t stopped by in a little while, we’re sharing all the news that you missed from this section of Disney World!
Disney Springs Food Updates
Paddlefish
Let’s start things off over at Paddlefish, where there are some new — and SECRET — menu items! At this restaurant, you’ll find a secret pairing menu for lunch, Monday through Friday from 12PM to 3PM. We ordered the burger, which is a 9-ounce Proprietary Blend Patty with Housemade Pickles, Red Onion, and Pimento Cheese on a Brioche Bun.
And during our visit, we also ordered the seasonal Shamrock Sour drink! It’s Jameson, Midori, Sour Apple Liqueur, Agave, and Ginger Ale, and it’s very sweet.
If you want more deets on either of these options at Paddlefish, make sure to check out our full review!

Amorette’s Patisserie
And speaking of new food, we stopped at Amorette’s Patisserie, where we ordered a new treat that’s in Disney Springs in honor of the release of Pixar’s Turning Red. It’s a dome cake made to look like a red panda, and it’s made with layers of rich chocolate nut brownie, coconut vanilla custard, and dark chocolate ganache.
You can get this petite treat for $9 for a limited time, and spoiler alert — we really liked it!

Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar
At Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar, the Indiana Jones-themed bar in Disney Springs, you’ll find an Annual Passholder-exclusive drink for a limited time. It’s called the First Class Ticket, and it’s a Mule made with Bacardi Tangerine with Ginger Beer and garnished with an Orange Slice.
You’ll need to show your Annual Passholder card to the bartender in order to grab this one, and it’ll cost you $14.

Goofy’s Candy Co.
And speaking of treats that are only around for a limited time, we’ve started to spot Easter and spring-themed snacks in the bakery cases around Disney World. We noticed quite a bit of pink, yellow, and other pastels when we stopped by Goofy’s Candy Co. in Disney Springs this week.
We’ll make sure to check out any treats that are particularly unique and give you our full reviews as the season continues!
Local Green Orlando
Coming soon to Disney Springs is a new dining spot called Local Green Orlando, owned and operated by the same people who run Local Green Atlanta. This new food truck will serve up healthy eats when it opens later this month.
We’ve already had a chance to check out the menu and the new truck has already pulled into its future spot on the West Side of Disney Springs, so stay tuned to DFB for a full review when it opens!

Gideon’s Bakehouse
And finally, we have to talk about the exclusive cake at Gideon’s Bakehouse! This Coffee Toffee Vanilla Bean Cake is only available on the weekends in March at the Disney Springs and East End Market locations of the shop.
So what’s in that cake? Well, it’s made with 3 layers of Vanilla Coffee Bean Cake and filled with Gideon’s signature Coffee Buttercream that has crunchy Toffee pieces in it! If you stop by to order, keep in mind that there’s a two-slice limit per customer.

Disney Springs Construction Updates
AristoCrepes
If you’re a fan of AristoCrepes in Disney Springs, we have some unfortunate news. This location is known for unique crêpes and bubble waffles, but a few days ago it closed down and the menus were removed.
Then today, it was just replaced by a new snack stand called Swirls on the Water. We’ll be bringing you a review of the new place soon!
Marketplace Snacks
And in other snack stand news, a similar situation happened over at Marketplace Snacks, where the stand was closed and menus were removed. However, it doesn’t look like this spot will be closing permanently!
Instead, Marketplace Snacks will be getting some of the menu items from AristoCrepes, including the famous bubble waffles.
Disney Springs Merchandise Updates
World of Disney
It wouldn’t be an update without some new merchandise! For starters, World of Disney got two new mix-and-match digital watch kits for kiddos! The first is Mickey Mouse and friends-themed and comes with an adjustable band.
And if your little one isn’t a big Mickey Mouse fan, then try out the Disney Princess version instead! This one includes icons of Cinderella, Ariel, Tiana, and Belle. You can buy either of these for $24.99.
Also, there’s some new headgear for you Star Wars fans out there. This precious Baby Yoda/Grogu/The Child hat is $39.99 and even comes with little pointy ears attached to the side!
Definitely make sure to stop by World of Disney on your next trip — there’s a MASSIVE merchandise selection in here.
Basin Fresh
And finally, we’re heading over to Basin Fresh, where you’ll find all kinds of soaps and other bath products. This past week, their spring collection of items arrived, which includes several special products for Easter and St. Patrick’s Day.
That’s everything new that we found in Disney Springs in the past few weeks! Stay tuned to DFB for more news and updates in Disney World, including the latest food news.
