Okay, so Disney World might not exactly be New York City — this isn’t the City That Never Sleeps, after all — but it isn’t the sleepy early bird vibe either!
While Disney World is obviously a mecca for kids and families, there are actually LOTS of ways of adults to stay entertained late at night! Even waaaaay past our bedtime at midnight!
Though many (many, many!) restaurants and attractions close up shop earlier in the evening, there are parts of Disney World that don’t go to sleep super early.
In fact, for night owls out there, you’ve got several options for things you can do at midnight!
Listen to Dueling Pianos at Jellyrolls
At the heart of all the nightlife action on Disney’s BoardWalk, Jellyrolls is a good time if you’re able to stay up a little later!
The dueling piano bar is a SUPER fun time for adults, filled with spirited music, hilarious antics, and great drinks! AND it’s open until nearly 2AM!

Dance Your Sleepless Heart Out at Atlantic Dance Hall
Got pent up energy? Take it out on the dance floor at Atlantic Dance Hall, located right next door to Jellyrolls on the BoardWalk!
Open 8PM until 1AM Thursday-Sunday, this vintage Atlantic City-inspired club sports a fun ’40s-esque motif, with music from the ‘80s, ‘90s, and TODAY! The whole vibe is a blast, the music is reliably entertaining, and the drinks will keep you dancing until the wee hours!

Pair Cocktails With Entertainment at The Edison
For one of the most unique and offbeat late-night destinations in Disney World, linger a little at The Edison in Disney Springs.
The 1920s-style, steampunk-inspired restaurant and bar, is an entertaining spot for twilight sips and snacks, with theatrical performers roving around on stilts or doing acrobatics. Feeling peckish? Try the “Clothesline Candied Bacon,” served on a little clothesline, and pair it with an Old Fashioned cocktail. Right now, the The Edison has been closing at 10PM, but it was known for late-night hours in the past, and we expect to see them return soon!

Have a Disney+ Marathon in Your Room
Some Disney entertainment doesn’t even require leaving your room! Case in point: Disney+ is a thing that exists, with endless magical entertainment right at your fingerprints, from the cozy comforts of your Disney bed!
Perhaps you’re still hopped up on energy from your day in the parks, or you’re inspired by nostalgic rides. Whatever the reason, there’s never a wrong time to enjoy a Disney movie marathon in your room, no matter how late it keeps you awake.

Get a Whole Chicken From Picabu
Previously open 24 hours (!), Picabu is a casual American comfort food spot that gets wildly overlooked in the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel. Nowadays, while it’s no longer open every hour of the day, it IS a late-night option until midnight!
So this means, should late-night cravings arise for tacos or Mexican Corn Pudding or, ya know, a WHOLE CHICKEN, you know EXACTLY where to go. Check you my Disney Experience app to see if your hotel’s quick service restaurant is open late as well!

Go For a Late-Night Stroll
Going for a casual stroll in Disney World can be a tad challenging during the day, when the sun is scorching and the crowds are out en masse. At night, though, things are MUCH different.
If you’re looking for a little leisurely exercise, might we suggest a calm and comfy walk along the well-lit Disney BoardWalk, or the trail connecting Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort? The peace and quiet feels great, and it’ll put you in the mood for a restful night of sleep once you’re done!
Ever Wanted to Take a Fitness Class IN a Disney Theme Park? Now You Can!
Get a Nightcap at Dahlia Lounge
Located at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort and open until midnight each evening, Dahlia Lounge is a reliable — and chic! — spot for a nightcap in Disney World! Plus, it’s a LOT less of a noisy scene than that other late-night bar, Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto. Do note that both are open until midnight though! So pick whichever one is more your scene.
Try a boozy warm drink, like the Café Carajillo with brandy and espresso, or polish off your day with a Vino Daiquiri or Tequila Daisy. Whatever you choose, rest assured it’ll be cheers-worthy!

If All Else Fails, McDonald’s
Sometimes you don’t really want a fancy cocktail or a whole chicken. Sometimes what you really want is chicken in McNugget form. That’s where the Disney World McDonald’s comes in handy!
Located near Animal Kingdom, with late-night hours to satisfy happy meal cravings after midnight, the massive McDonald’s is always there for you when the need strikes. Just be prepared for the longest drive-thru line EVER.
So whether you’re looking to dance, walk, drink, or McSnack, there are lots of options for midnight cravings in and around Disney World!

Fun article, but when I visit those places’ websites, none are showing being open after 11 pm. What this written prior to COVID?

This is why I always stay in the Epcot resort area. After the fireworks, there’s so much to do around the boardwalk.

Order on the McDonald’s app and it’s a quick trip with minimal wait.
