Happy St. Patrick’s Day, everyone! We’ve been celebrating in Disney World by eating food, of course.
We’ve tried special treats from Gideon’s Bakehouse, fun cupcakes, green cocktails, and more — and we’re not slowing down any time soon! So, come along with us to try out another brand new green treat!
This is the Luck of the Irish Petit Cake over at Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs! It has layers of praline with wiskey-scented vanilla chiffon cake and Bailey’s Irish cream liqueur pastry cream.
This was a very soft and light cake on the inside! It is covered in fondant to make it look like a little leprechaun hat. This design with the belt made it somewhat difficult to cut into though, as it is not edible — it’s a piece of ribbon! It go to the point where it was a bit of a hassle to eat.
The Bailey’s and whiskey flavors are strong and reminded us of how alcoholic a rum cake is. If you enjoy alcohol in your desserts, this is a fun option!
But, the best part of this cake is definitely the RAINBOW inside!!
Yep, there’s a whole rainbow inside of this little hat, and it’s perfect for St. Patrick’s Day!
If nothing else, this cake is a very photogenic and festive treat you can get to celebrate the holiday! It’s available for $22 at Amorette’s from now until March 20th — so hurry over and grab it if you want it! Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney World food news and updates.
