Disney World does a pretty good job celebrating big occasions like Halloween, the holiday season, and more. But, did you know they also have festivities for some of the more under the radar holidays?
We’ve seen celebrations for National Pi Day, National Irish Coffee Day, and even Life Day! Another fun holiday Disney World celebrates is Earth Day, and it’s coming up soon, so let’s check out all of the festivities!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom is actually celebrating Earth Day for an entire WEEK! From April 18th-24th, you can honor the planet at the park in a variety of ways.
At the Conservation Station (over at Rafiki’s Planet Watch), you can learn howΒ to draw Disney character step by step using real animals for inspiration during the Animation Experience. Each animal represents stories of conservation work Disney is doing around the world.
There will also be a limited-time Wilderness Explorer activity that rewards you with an Earth Day Nature badge!
Over at Discovery Island, you can spot a special Disney Character Cruise on the Discovery River! And throughout the park, you will be able to find Disney PhotoPass shots that frame you with Wall-E and Eve from Pixar’s Wall-E.
Last but not least, you can pick up a limited-edition Earth Day 2022 trading pin to commemorate the celebration! You can also find specialty merchandise and custom food and beverages at the park during the whole week.
So, join in with Disney and Animal Kingdom to learn how you can do your part to create a happier and healthier planet! We’ll be checking out these offerings once April 18th rolls around, so stay tuned to DFB for news and updates.
