Let’s go to the UK!
We can’t turn down crepes from France, delicious gelato from Italy, or literally ANYTHING from Germany’s Karamell Kuche. But today we’re turning our attention to the United Kingdom pavilion, the land of the Queen, afternoon tea, and fish and chips.Â
It’s been a hot minute since we’ve seen British cookies, candies, and candy bars for sale in the UK Pavilion, but as of this weekend, the snacks ARE BACK!
UK candy is back!
So we picked up a package of some cookies we thought looked interesting —Â Jammie Dodgers!
Behold Jammie Dodgers!
So what exactly is a Jammie Dodger? It’s a VERY popular British biscuit (aka cookie) made from shortbread with a fruit-flavored jam filling. It’s so popular in the UK that it’s become synonymous there with pop culture, thanks to mentions on shows like Doctor Who. Now we get the hype because these are DELICIOUS.
DELICIOUS!
But get this — these biscuits have a secret. They’re also vegan, which sort of surprised us. They’re also made without artificial colors, flavors, and sweeteners.
They’re vegan!
The shortbread tasted buttery, even without any dairy. These were also not dry at all! The raspberry filling was very flavorful and balanced nicely with the shortbread. Now we hope to see more flavors of Jammie Dodgers at EPCOT, so we can try them all!
We love the heart!
