EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival is going on right now until July 4th, 2022, and we’ve tried some delicious food!
From a BLT scone to a goat cheese popsicle, there are some interesting eats, but these eats are all mostly things you would consider lunch, dinner, and dessert foods. Now, things are changing — there is a BREAKFAST MENU at one of the food booths at Flower and Garden Festival, so come with us as we check it out!
La Isla Fresca over between Morocco and France is now selling breakfast in the mornings! They have 2 different arepas on the menu as well as a new coffee. Both versions of the Tropical Breeze drink are also available for breakfast.
Breakfast here is only served until 10:30AM each day, so keep that in mind if you’re interested in a morning snack! First, we got the Dulce de Leche Cocoa Coffee, which is coffee with cocoa and dulce de leche with a cinnamon stick on top for $5.

This drink was super warm and comforting! It almost tasted more like a spiced chocolate milk, with a heavy cinnamon flavor. There is some coffee flavor in there though!
We really enjoyed this coffee and think it will be a nice accompaniment to the arepas. It’s very easy to drink — so much so that we wish our cup was even bigger so we could enjoy more of it! However, we do think it’s worth the price for the size, because it’s so tasty.
It would be amazing if there was an iced version of this coffee too, especially for when the mornings start getting warmer. The drink was simple but delicious, we want more! But, if you’re someone who doesn’t like spices like cinnamon and chocolate as a combination, you probably won’t love this coffee.
We also ordered the Chorizo, Egg, and Cheese Arepas for $6.25. As the name implies, this breakfast snack was an arepa with chorizo, egg, and two kinds of cheese. Our arepas were made with both mozzarella and queso fresco, which made the snack extra warm and cheesy.

This snack is stacked up with layers, so the cheese was able to soak up the chorizo and spicy tomato and pepper sauce to make a nice savory bite. The egg tasted like a standard breakfast sandwich egg; nothing extra-fantastic here, but it’s nice to have a little protein in the morning! What really made this dish shine were the cheesy arepas and the chorizo.
We really enjoyed our meal at La Isla Fresca — we had no complaints! Keep in mind that this is a pretty dense (and a little spicy) breakfast item, but if you like arepas and cheese, you’ll probably enjoy this snack. Stay tuned to DFB because we’ll be back soon with a review of the new breakfast items!

I was there last Friday and in the park at 9am to find no festival outdoor kitchens open till 11am. I knew it in advance but beelined over to the Sunshine Brunch booth/truck near Test Track hoping it’d open earlier than the others. It did not. The Encanto outdoor kitchen is probably the only one opening early for breakfast, or perhaps they all open earlier on weekends. Do you know?
