Are you a fan of BBQ? If so, you might be wondering where to eat next time you visit Disney World.
You have two great BBQ options in Disney World, including The Polite Pig in Disney Springs and the newer Regal Eagle Smokehouse in EPCOT. Both spots serve delicious BBQ quickly, so if you find yourself looking for BBQ next time you’re in Disney World, you might want to give Regal Eagle a try!
Breaking Down the Restaurants
First, we’ll start by talking about each restaurant and what they have to offer.
The Polite Pig
The Polite Pig is located in the Town Center area of Disney Springs. It opened in April 2017 and is known for serving modern barbecue inspired by Florida cuisine in a fast casual environment. The Polite Pig is owned by a husband and wife team, award-winning Orlando Chefs James and Julie Petrakis, who also own three other restaurants in the Orlando area.
All of their drinks are on tap and we’ve consistently reviewed The Polite Pig as having some of the best BBQ you can find in Disney World. Still, it’s not the only BBQ spot to try!

Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts and Barbecue
Regal Eagle Smokehouse opened in the American Adventure pavilion of EPCOT in February of 2020, replacing the former Liberty Inn. This quick service spot serves American BBQ, craft brews, cocktails on tap, and has a ton of indoor and outdoor seating on a beautiful patio.
The “eagle” in Regal Eagle is actually Sam Eagle from the Muppets, and you can find nods to his character through the space.

Comparing the Atmosphere
The Polite Pig and Regal Eagle have a LOT in common, including quick service/casual environments, modern American BBQ dishes, indoor and outdoor seating, great craft beer selections, and no reservations necessary. The Polite Pig has plenty of seating, and can actually seat nearly 200 guests. You order at the counter and receive a pager to let you know when your food is ready.
Seating outside The Polite Pig is both shaded and unshaded, and there’s plenty of space to accommodate big groups of people.
Inside The Polite Pig, you’ll find lots of decor honoring the restaurant’s namesake, including pig artwork…
…and even hoof marks on the floors!
At Regal Eagle, guests can order at the counter or place a Mobile Order for pick up, which is a nice perk. The restaurant has a large indoor space for eating, and the decor is very patriotic with colors of red, white and blue.
Regal Eagle is furnished with early-American colonial-style decor, and if you look closely you might spot some Muppets included in the artwork!
Outside there’s even more seating on the beautiful patio, as well as an outdoor walk-up bar with some craft brew and cocktail selections you might not find inside the restaurant.
Whether you prefer inside or outside, both restaurants deliver quality BBQ with plenty of seating options and unique decor.

A Look at Both Menus
At The Polite Pig, the menu features Shareables, Sandwiches, Salads, Sides and Desserts. Shareables include dishes you could easily share with someone else with prices ranging from $9 to $15, like the Hop Salt Pretzel for $9.
Sandwich prices begin at $11, with the Smoked Chicken Salad, to $14, for the Low & Slow Brisket.
And salads are $12 to $13, and include classics like the Polite Caesar Salad, to more unique salads like The Springs Spinach for $13.
The Southern Pig Sandwich is $12 and includes Pulled Pork, Fennel Apple Slaw, tangy Mustard BBQ, and Duke’s Mayo as well as a pickle. It’s fresh and flavorful and a great portion size for the price!
At Regal Eagle, you’ll find slightly less options than Polite Pig, and they serve meat dishes in addition to sandwiches and salads. Prices for Entrees range from $9.49 to $15.99 for the Memphis Dry-rub Pork Ribs.
Sides are included with Entree dishes, but you can also purchase them a la carte. They’re fairly low priced, with all of them at $4.99.
The Sliced Texas Beef Brisket Sandwich at Regal Eagle costs $13.49, and you get Brisket rubbed in their secret Brisket Rub, Slow-smoked and smothered in Spicy Mop Sauce, served on Garlic Toast and a choice of side. That’s a lot of food for the price!
You can also choose from SIX sauces to enhance your food, including (from left to right) Ketchup, Blue Ribbon Brisket Sauce (savory and spicy), Blue Ridge Vinegar League, Sizzlin’ Pit Dry Rub Coalition Classic Smokehouse Sauce, and Mustard Guild “Old Glory” Sweet Mustard Sauce.
And don’t forget to order the Banana Pudding for $5.29, which is a deliciously sweet treat.
Look, we love The Polite Pig, but we also really enjoy Regal Eagle’s selections too! They’re both comparably priced with great portion sizes and delicious dishes satisfying for any BBQ fan.
