Chloe says
Does anyone know how to apply this to an existing reservation? Should I call guest services?
DFB Gigi says
Hi Chloe! I would definitely call guest services to ask if you can apply this to your existing reservation unless you’re using a travel agent, in which case they should be able to speak with someone on your behalf.
Deb says
Do you know if this is for US residents only or could I apply this deal from the UK?
Nelson says
Great, I welcome them to the club. But how come they get July, August and September room reservations before annual pass-holders do? Is there going to be any rooms left at the special rate for us?
Linda says
I called WDW yesterday morning as soon as I heard about this deal. I wanted to apply this discount to an existing reservation. After being on hold for 3 hours, I was told it could be applied to my All Star Music reservation. However, she was having difficulty doing this so she told me she had to contact customer service. After being on hold for another half hour, I was told that it can’t be applied to AS Music. I told her it was on the list and she told me it was crossed off. So….sad to say they didn’t give me the discount. ☹️☹️☹️
Arlene says
Hi DFB and everyone! Thank you for this valuable information! I was able to save $260 off of my existing reservation for September! Yes! $260 off 2 rooms! Wow! Thai was a lot of money and will cover the cost of our breakfast while there! I was actually able to do it right through the Disney World website. When you click on the special offer for Disney+, you have to be signed in to your Disney account and your Disney account has to have the same email that you used to open your Disney+ account. Not the same password, but just the same email. After I signed in and clicked on the special offer for Disney+, they have a link that lets you go right to your reservation and change it if you want. It was absolutely no problem with my room. I was surprised how easy it was! And to tell the truth, I didn’t even know that you could do that at the Disney World website. I had a little problem changing my brothers room, because he is not a Disney+ member and has his own reservation and Disney World account. So I simply reserved a second room under my Disney World account and got the discount for the second room too! Then I signed into his account, (which I have the password for), and cancelled the original reservation. When asked who will be staying in the second room, I just clicked on my friends and family list and clicked on his name. So all or any rooms must be under a Disney+ subscriber’s name. I hope that makes sense. Of course, if you run into any snags at the Disney website DFB is right, just give Disney World a call and see if you can apply this offer to any existing reservation or new reservation. it was really easy to do at the Disney website too. But thank God, and thank you DFB! We are so excited with the savings! Thanks again! : )

Nooo! We are staying at the Polynesian hotel during that time and the deal doesn’t apply to that hotel! Do they often have deals for the Polynesian?
Todd says
Thanks so much for sharing the news of this deal. I just got off the phone with Disney reservations and I was able to apply this discount to my reservation for July. I got a room upgrade and still saved almost $300. Thanks again!
Aaron says
I think this is the first bit of exciting news from disney in a long time
DFB Gigi says
That’s amazing, Todd! Glad we could help!
DFB Gigi says
That’s so exciting, Arlene! I’m so happy to hear you were able to get in on that deal! Have a great trip!
Dan says
Natalie: pre-pandemic we got a real nice deal at the Poly, but I haven’t seen one since. We too are staying there late July.
Jen Barker says
Does this offer apply to a two bedroom suite at Old Key West? It doesn’t look as if it does but would be grateful if this could be confirmed. Very exciting to have an offer of this nature and, who knows, perhaps there will be big savings on the Dining Plan when it returns!
Alex says
I have just rang Virgin Holidays, who I booked with, to see if I could add this discount to my holiday, and apparently they have never heard of the deal and so will not honour it. If anyone else has any luck, or knows a way around it, please let me know!
Dan says
I literally just got an email about this from Disney+. Maybe you can forward that to Virgin? That doesn’t sound very customer friendly of them…
Arlene says
Alex- I booked my reservation myself at disneyworld.com, so I had no trouble changing it to get the discount. I did not have to go through a travel agent. But you may want to ask your travel agent to check directly with Disney World concerning the Disney+ subscriber room discount. Also, if you are a Disney+ subscriber, I suggest you reach out to Disney on your own and get the info for your travel agency or have your travel agency reach out directly to them. The information is right on the Disney World website so I can’t understand why your travel agent would say they don’t know anything about it? Travel agents should be the first ones to hear about any vacation discounts. You also can take a screenshot of the information at the Disney World websiteI and then upload it to your travel agent. DFB has published it, and the Disney World website has the information about the special offer listed, so I don’t know why your travel agency can’t find that information for you too. I wish you well and I hope you get the discount!
Nick says
Everyone be very careful with this. Back in February, I booked a trip for August, ten days in the Riviera. I just spent two hours and two minutes on hold to be told that the room I booked is the only room in the hotel that isn’t included. If I wasn’t taking kids for their first trip, I would cancel everything and do something else, go somewhere else. As it is, this will be my last trip. I love the parks, and the employees are great, but I absolutely loathe the management. They make so much money that they don’t care when their policies make people unhappy because there will always be some new sucker right behind him to hand over thousands of dollars. Every generation is bilked and bled until the price of joy is too high, and then they have kids and dontcha know we all forget how awful Disney is as a company, and we just have to give our children the Disney experience. They know they can charge anything and provide as little value as possible.
Anyway, end rant. I apologize if this upsets anyone, I’m just feeling very disillusioned by the whole experience, and isn’t that why we go to Disney? To prop up our illusions?
Linda says
I’m feeling the same as you, Nick! ☹️
Arlene says
Nick and Linda – all I can say is that I’m so sorry for the bad experiences you both had when you called Disney. Since the pandemic, when you call guest services at Disney I’ve noticed that you can be on hold for hours! That’s outrageous. So I feel terrible that you guys had to go through that. That’s why I always book my Disney World rooms myself directly at disneyworld.com. When I wanted to check if my existing reservation was eligible for the Disney+ discount, I went right to the website myself. I signed into my account, clicked on the offer, and was able to apply the discount to my existing reservation myself without any phone calls. I did everything in a matter of minutes at the website. So if you booked your rooms yourself, and didn’t use a travel agent, you can try that. Even though you were told that your rooms don’t qualify for the discount, I would go on and give that a try anyway. Believe it or not through my experience sometimes the Disney World guest service members don’t know how to apply the discounts. Many of them are new and working remotely from home and must contact supervisors before they can make any changes or decisions. This takes time. Lots of time! And sometimes the information given is incorrect. The only time I would call Disney is if I had a huge problem that I could not straighten out online at their website. Even then, emailing them is quicker than calling. I learned my lesson by having the same experience you guys had. So I don’t use a travel agent, and I don’t call Disney to book rooms. I just do everything at disneyworld.com myself and so far that has worked out great for me. So It wouldn’t hurt for you to try, and I wish you both well, and I hope you get your discounts!
Linda says
Arlene….great advice which I will heed for our next trip….thank you!!!!
