We’re getting closer and closer to seeing the huge EPCOT transformation come to life.
EPCOT’s newest attraction, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, will open on May 27th, and Disney World Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members will be getting a special opportunity to ride before opening day. Now another select group is getting an exclusive preview, and it includes SO MUCH MORE than just the ride!
D23 will be hosting a special event for D23 Gold Members on Sunday, May 15th, and it includes MORE than just a preview of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.
You must be a D23 Gold Member to purchase tickets, and ticket holders will be able to check-in at the EPCOT main entrance after 4PM on May 15th, where they’ll receive a dining card and have several hours to stroll around EPCOT before getting to view EPCOT Harmonious from a reserved area.
After EPCOT closes, ticket holders will head to Cosmic Rewind for their exclusive preview! Note that the height requirement for the ride is 42 inches, so if a ticket holder is below that height limit, they will not be able to ride.
As part of this event, ticket holders will receive all of the following:
- Parking and EPCOT Park admission (with a Park Reservation) after 4PM on Sunday, May 15th
- $20 dining card for EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival (or any EPCOT dining location)
- Reserved viewing for EPCOT Harmonious
- Exclusive preview for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and a D23-exclusive commemorative gift
Tickets cost $35 per person, plus a $5 processing fee, and they go on sale on Tuesday, April 12th at 10AM PT. D23 Gold Members may purchase up to 2 tickets (UPDATE: while D23 originally listed that four tickets would be available per party, due to overwhelming demand that has been changed to 2), and they must provide their membership number when purchasing AND bring their membership card and tickets to the event.
This is a REALLY exciting opportunity, y’all! Make sure you mark your calendar and double-check your D23 membership to see if you qualify. Keep following DFB for more Disney news!

Hi AJ! The website says only two tickets per member, but I’m hearing four everywhere else. I’d love to know, because this coincides with my trip and I’m really interested in buying a Gold membership so I can attend.

Question. If I become a D23 member and want to purchase tickets for the GofG preview am I limited to 2 tickets per membership or 2 per person if I have a family membership? Please help clarify.
Jj Phillips says
If we have a family d23 account. Does that mean that each family member can purchase 2. We are all members?
DFB Gigi says
Hi JJ! According to Disney’s latest announcement, you can purchase 2 tickets per member.

We’re in! So excited about this event – our first in-person D23 event! We’re also DVC members so our fingers are crossed for Moonlight Magic at DHS later in our May trip.
