You can get really busy with rides, food, shopping, and entertainment when you’re in Disney World, but you shouldn’t miss out on meeting characters while you’re in the parks!
Character meet and greets have been back in a modified way for a while, and soon, they’ll be going back to how they were before the shutdowns in 2020. This means you’ll be able to hug Mickey again and get autographs from Pluto! You’ll also be able to stand next to characters for photos, so you’ll probably want to grab some good pics, and we’re here to help you out when it comes to planning!
If you look on the My Disney Experience app, it actually tells you which character meet and greets have Disney PhotoPass photographers there to snap your pic!
Just go in the app, and select “Entertainment” from the drop-down menu where the map is. Then, you can look on the map for the character experience you want to find OR hit “Show List” in the top right corner to bring up a list that you can scroll through.
For example, when we click on Donald Duck in the Mexico Pavilion in EPCOT, you can see that there IS a PhotoPass photographer at his meet and greet location.
But, over in Morocco, Princess Jasmine does NOT have a PhotoPass photographer with her, you just have to snap pics with your own phones and cameras.
In Hollywood Studios, you can see Disney Junior Pals in Animation Courtyard, and they DO have a PhotoPass photographer with them.
But, back in EPCOT, Minnie Mouse does NOT have a PhotoPass photographer with her.
So, make sure you check to see which character meet and greet you can use PhotoPass at and which you’ll need to be taking your own photos at! Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney World news and updates.
