Actor and comedian Gilbert Gottfried has passed away at the age of 67.
His family shared a statement on Gottfried’s Twitter account, confirming his passing after a battle with “a long illness.”
The statement does not indicate what illness Gottfried was suffering from, but encourages fans to “keep laughing as loud as possible in Gilbert’s honor.”

You might recognize Gottfried’s voice, as he lent his iconic vocal rasp to the character Iago from Disney’s Aladdin and continued to do so for sequels and other Disney productions.
Gottfried is best known for his standup comedy, as well as roles in films such as Problem Child, Jack and the Beanstalk, and Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events.

The enchanted Tiki Room…”under new management” featuring Gilbert Godfrey was so much better than the original show, I truly do not know why it isn’t still playing in Adventure Land. The tie in to Aladdin and the Flying Carpet attraction all worked together well. I missed the show and Gilbert’s character in the movie and the attraction. This is when WD. imagineering was at its best…
