UPDATE: This preview event is now sold out.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is opening SOON in Disney World — and we’re SO excited to check out the new ride!
We’ve already had a few sneak peeks of the inside queue and loading area, which is just building the anticipation even more. But, some people won’t have to wait until the grand opening date, because there are special previews for select groups. And tickets JUST went on sale for one group of guests!
Tickets are now on sale for the special D23 preview of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind! This event takes place on Sunday, May 15th, 2022 and tickets are ONLY available to D23 Gold Members.
This event is actually SO much more than a preview! If you get a ticket for the event, you can go to EPCOT starting at 4PM on May 15th and hang out in EPCOT for a few hours before getting to see the Harmonious fireworks from a reserved area. You also get a $20 dining card that can be used at any EPCOT dining location.
Then, after EPCOT closes, you will head on over to Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind for your exclusive preview of the ride! Getting to see a new ride before it opens AND being in EPCOT after hours? Sign us up, please!
Do note that the height requirement for the ride is 42 inches, so you MUST meet this height requirement to go on the ride, even at this special preview.
So, to recap, this is everything included with your ticket to the D23 event:
- Parking and EPCOT Park admission (with a Park Reservation) after 4PM on Sunday, May 15th
- $20 dining card for any EPCOT dining location
- Reserved viewing for Harmonious
- Exclusive preview of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and a D23-exclusive commemorative gift
Tickets are available RIGHT NOW and cost $35 per person, plus a $5 processing fee. D23 Gold Members can purchase up to 2 tickets (D23 originally listed that 4 tickets would be available per party, but due to overwhelming demand, it has been changed to 2). Members must provide their membership number when purchasing AND bring their membership card and tickets to the event.
When you click on the “Get Your Tickets Here” button on the site, you will be taken to a queue page. When we checked right at 1PM EST, it said our projected wait was 57 minutes, but then jumped down quickly to 13 minutes, so your time could change. Just make sure you DON’T refresh the page!
We’re sure these tickets are going to go really fast, so don’t wait! And, stay tuned to DFB for more Disney World news and updates.

Yes! I was in the queue waiting for hours. It was pretty smooth, though when the message came up that tickets were all in carts, I was so bummed. When I got onto the page, they said sold out, but I’ve been to enough concerts and cons to know you refresh a few times before leaving! Someone must not have checked out in time, because I was able to snag my pair at around 1:15pm. I wonder how many tickets were available?
Don Andrews says
i got in line at 1pm. The wait for me was 10 minutes. They were already sold out by the time I got a chance to get them.
Richard Lynn Gordon says
I was in the line for 18 hours. I finally got in at 4 minutes after and it said they were already sold out. I did not think to reload…oh well.
Lois Pierce says
I was on right when they started selling, got on about 12 minutes after that and I received a message that all the tickets were sold. I was also signed on on my phone and got in about 15 minutes after the start and was told again all the tickets were sold. I refreshed once but I guess I should have stayed on and kept trying. I was so bummed, because our Disney trip is scheduled to end about 1 1/2 weeks before Guardians opens. When I found out about the the D23 ticketed event I was so happy. I wonder if they could add another date because of popular demand?
