Things are always changing the in the Disney World parks, which is why we head to each one almost daily to make sure we can bring you the latest information!
Today, we’re heading over to Hollywood Studios to see what’s new!
Hollywood Studios Food Updates
BaseLine Tap House
The BaseLine Bundle is still not available at BaseLine Tap House. The bundle, which is a Bavarian pretzel (with that delicious beer-cheese fondue and spicy mustard!) plus your choice of craft beer in a souvenir cup, has been missing for a while.
The Bavarian pretzel alone is $9 and the craft beers range in price from $9.25 to $10.50, so the BaseLine Bundle was a really good deal! We hope it returns soon.
Sci-Fi Dine-In Restaurant
Over at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Restaurant, the Salmon Burger is still on the menu.
We tried this burger, and three others, last year and thought this burger was fresh and a good option if you’re looking for a burger without the traditional beef.
Dinosaur Gertie’s Ice Cream of Extinction
After being closed for several days, we are happy to report that Gertie is back serving ice cream on Echo Lake!
At Dinosaur Gertie’s, you can get everything ice cream from soft serve in a waffle cone to a Mickey Premium Bar!
Hollywood Studios Construction Updates
Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster Starring: Aerosmith
Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster went down earlier this week on the morning of April 10th.
This ride had some difficulties in the beginning of the year with multiple-day closures, but luckily we didn’t experience that again as the ride reopened later in the day.
Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities
The saga continues at Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities as Dok-Ondar himself still remains missing.
The corner where he usually sits is still shrouded in a red curtain. There’s still no word on when we can expect to see him back.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
Similarly to Dok-Ondar, the Dianoga that occasionally makes an appearance in one of the water fountains in Galaxy’s Edge is still missing, as well.
It usually pops its head up in the tank on the right, but we haven’t seen it for a while.
Toy Story Land
The exit for Toy Story Mania is still being rerouted as construction continues on the ride’s gift shop. Guests are currently exiting through a rear door and then being sent around the building to the usual exit.
The Cast Member we spoke to said that it would probably continue this way until the store opens, likely in August. In addition to the renovation of the Toy Story Mania gift shop, a new gift shop is coming to the land along with a new sit-down restaurant, Roundup Rodeo BBQ!
Landscaping
Last week, we told you that the landscaping between Sci-Fi Dine-In Restaurant and ABC Commissary had been ripped up so it could be replaced. When we were there recently, we saw that the area had been replanted!
The area now features a tree, some pink flowers, and nice greenery!
Echo Lake
The next time you’re walking by Echo Lake, take a look up and you’ll see a fan-favorite hidden Easter egg has returned. In one of the windows in the buildings next to Echo Lake, you’ll see a window sign for Eddie Valiant, a private investigator. To the left of that, you’ll see a window with the blinds closed and a Roger Rabbit shaped hole in them.
For those that aren’t familiar, Eddie Valiant is the detective in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, so this display is a nod to the movie. The Roger Rabbit hole in the blinds had been looking a little worse for wear, so we’re happy to see that it’s gotten a little TLC.
Hollywood Studios Merchandise Updates
We’re going to start with a general merchandise update: Bubble wands are completely sold out at Hollywood Studios and have been difficult to find elsewhere, as well. We’ll be sure to let you know when we start to see bubble wands return to Disney World.
Mickeys of Hollywood
On our most recent visit to Mickeys of Hollywood, we noticed that the EARidescent Shimmer Loungefly backpack was completely sold out. The matching ears were still available when we were there. The backpack is $110 and the ears are $34.99.
We also saw a dog collar and leash set for $34.99!
Both the collar and leash are blue with yellow accents. The collar has pictures of Mickey Mouse.
Legends of Hollywood
At Legends of Hollywood, we saw a Pandora necklace with a Star Wars Resistance charm.
Pandora is also currently running a promotion: Guests who spend $150 or more on Disney x Pandora items will receive a free limited edition print.
We also saw a restock of the Castle Earrings from BaubleBar. These earrings are pink and sparkly and made to match the look of Cinderella Castle.
These earrings are $65.
Sunset Couture
It’s rainy season in Disney World, so you will want to be prepared with a poncho! At Sunset Couture, we spotted three Disney rain jackets. These aren’t new but they are so fun and unique that we had to share! We saw the Enchanted Tiki Room rain jacket…
…the “it’s a small world” rain jacket…
…and the Disney Snacks rain jacket.
Each rain jacket is $54.99.
Celebrity 5 & 10
Over at Celebrity 5 & 10, we saw the Orange Popcorn that we have seen over in EPCOT at Port of Entry.
Tatooine Traders
In Tatooine Traders, we noticed two new Star Wars shirts! The first is this Star Wars 1977 tee. This shirt is gray with white detail on the sleeves and is a nod to the release of the first Star Wars movie, A New Hope, which came out on May 25th, 1977. The shirt is $36.99.
We also saw this shirt that says “The Force is With You.” It’s white and charcoal gray in the the baseball tee style with a 3/4 sleeve.
This shirt is available for $36.99.

Am I the only Disney fan that is glad there is a shortage of bubble wands!? I know littles love them, but there is nothing more frustrating than walking in a crowd behind one! It is very annoying, you can’t see clearly and it distracts you from enjoying the sites around you. I wish they would go away, forever.

I realize it takes time to build a restaurant due to health and safety regulations, but theRoundup Rodeo BBQ is taking forever. I seems like Star Wars land was built in less time.
