This Friday, April 22nd, 3 nighttime spectaculars are returning to Disneyland Resort. The Main Street Electrical Parade and Disneyland Forever are returning to Disneyland, and World of Color is returning to Disney California Adventure! We can’t wait to finally be able to watch these nighttime shows again.
Main Street Electrical Parade
In addition to new merchandise arriving in Disneyland to celebrate the return of the Main Street Electrical Parade, Disney also announced a dining package that would be coming to the Plaza Inn, as well. So what’s going on with the return of this dining package now?
The dining package at the Plaza Inn is actually for lunch and is only available from 1PM-3:30PM every day, so seating is very limited. The package includes your meal, a beverage, a dessert, and reserved seating for the Main Street Electrical Parade later that same evening.

Reservations opened for this experience on April 14th, and when we were looking at the Disneyland website today, we noticed that these coveted reservations are already difficult to find. This dining package begins next Monday, April 25th, and already there aren’t any reservations available for that day.

In fact, we didn’t see any reservations available for most of April all the way until June 17th (which is currently the last day available to book the dining package). And, even on June 17th, the only time available was the latest possible slot: 3:30PM.

With such a limited time frame, reservations for the dining package are hard to get! If this is something you really want to experience, there is some hope. Cancellations happen, so new times may become available closer to your trip. Dining is currently available to book 60 days in advance, so you can always try booking right when that window opens. But if you’re not seeing any availability at that time, keep checking back in case of cancellations!

I would like to say something about our dining experience at Magic Kingdoms Horsehoe Tavern! I had made reservations 1 month before the date we were going…they were for 3:45 for a party of 8. We arrived at 3:30..gave our name…and waited….until almost 530! We were told it was because people didn’t leave and we had a party of 8. Not my fault!!! The server was extremely nice….food was awesome..I expected some sort of compensation…NOTHING! This dinner was not cheap and I’m
Still paying for it. They didn’t even say they were sorry once we we were seated…they brought everything rather quickly, cleaned up quickly also!
Very interesting. I called Disney last Friday. Was told reservations are only opened one day at a time. So todays reservation would be for 4/28. However I see that you clearly were able to get some in June! I can’t believe how hard it is. Almost doesn’t make sense.
I have a question, why is there no time showing for May 3-7th? Even though there is no available time slots available for other days at least you can click on the time. Any ideas? I will be there May 5th so I’m hoping I might still have a chance
Same with World of Color desert party. Almost all of the reservations are taken.
