It might only be April, but Disney is already been celebrating Halloween, since we’re halfway to the holiday!
There are limited-time treats in the parks, as well as new photo opportunities, and special announcements. We JUST found out that Mickey’s Not-S0-Scary Halloween Party is coming back, and now, we have MORE Disney Halloween news!
A first-of-its-kind character meet and greet is coming to Disney Cruise Line’s Halloween on the High Seas sailings. Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, and Clarabelle Cow will debut a never-before-seen look as the iconic Sanderson Sister from Hocus Pocus!
There will also be special entertainment and activities, including trick-or-treating, spooky parties, elaborate décor, and limited-time food and beverage items. And, of course, all characters on board will wear their Halloween costumes!
On Disney Cruise Line’s new ship, the Disney Wish (which makes its debut this summer), there will be a unique twist on a Halloween on the High Seas staple. The magical Pumpkin Tree that’s the centerpiece of all of the ships during the Halloween sailings will have a new look!
This new tree on the Disney Wish will have a lighter bark, graceful branches, and a mystical face. Disney says legend has it that this enchanted tree (named Boo) grew beautiful gourds with the help of a wishing star. The best pumpkin was destined to grant a very special wish, and that moment came when a carriage was needed to send Cinderella to the prince’s ball!
Other Halloween experiences on board will include Mickey’s Mouse-querade Party, which is a costume party for families (and your favorite Disney characters); villainous takeovers in the adult-exclusive venues; Halloween-themed movies on Funnel Vision; and a ghostly take on ship announcements — SPOOKY!
Halloween on the High Seas voyages will be offered on select sailings in September and October, leaving from ports in Miami and Port Canaveral, Florida, San Diego, California, and New York City, New York. All sailings from Port Canaveral and Miami will include a stop at Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island!
Ah! We’re already getting in the Spooky Season spirit. Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney Halloween news!
