Happy Star Wars Day, everyone! We’re checking out all kinds of May the 4th celebrations today, like new treats in the Disney parks, free VR experiences in Disney Springs, and several limited-time PhotoPass Magic Shots. But just now, Disney released possibly the BEST way to celebrate this holiday.
Check out this NEW trailer for Disney’s upcoming Star Wars series, Obi-Wan Kenobi! Darth Vader fans, you’re not ready for this.
Disney’s Obi-Wan Kenobi follows the Jedi Master (played by Ewan McGregor), and the story takes place 10 years after the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.
We’ve been promised some new and returning characters in this series, played by Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie.
But one of the characters we’re MOST excited to see return is Darth Vader, played by Hayden Christensen. In the new trailer that was released today, you can see a glimpse of the Sith Lord and hear his iconic and terrifying breathing. Take a look at the full trailer here!
Disney also released a new poster for this series, which you can see here.
Obi-Wan Kenobi will premiere on Disney+ on Friday, May 27th, with the first 2 episodes. After that, there will be episodes released each week on Wednesday with the finale on Wednesday, June 22nd. Disney has said it will be a 6-episode series.
We can’t wait to see this series when it premieres later this month! Keep following DFB for more updates on all the latest Disney news.
