Is it even a holiday in Disney World without new treats to try?
There are quite a few limited-edition Mother’s Day treats to try in Disney World, and so far we’ve really enjoyed sweets like the Jumbo Cupcake from BoardWalk Bakery. But we’re not done! It’s time to try not one…not two…but THREE tiny sweets at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort!
We made our way to Capt. Cook’s in Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort for the Mother’s Day Sweet Treats Box. This item features three sweet treats in one box for $6.99! Talk about the perfect Mother’s Day gift. We loved the little box!

Inside the box, you’ll find (from left to right) a Coconut Macaroon with white chocolate drizzle, a Guava Macaron, and a Pineapple Cheesecake Creme Puff. You can find them in the cooler at Capt. Cook’s and they’re available via Mobile Order too. We also spotted them at Kona Cafe, but your mileage may vary.
Let’s get into the tastes! We’re starting with our least favorite of the three, the Coconut Macaroon. The coconut was lightly toasted and it had a nice, sweet flavor, but we did wish there was more chocolate to help hold it together.
Unfortunately, it was also very dry, so it ranked the lowest on our list.
The Guava Macaron, on the other hand, was our favorite! This treat says “Mom” on the top and we loved the bright pink color.
This French macaron has a guava filling and it tasted amazing with the macaron itself, which had an almost cotton candy-like flavor. We also thought the guava was a nice change from the typical berry filling you might find around Disney World!
While it may not have been our favorite, the Pineapple Cheesecake Creme Puff was delicious! And look how cute it is with the tiny fondant flower. 🥺
The dough was perfectly light and airy with fresh creme inside, and the pink fondant on top balanced the sweetness of the treat with the creme and dough.
Aside from the dry coconut, our only complaint is that it didn’t come with TWO creme puffs! If you don’t want a huge sweet dessert, this box is perfect, and it would also make a great gift.
If you’re looking for a more indulgent dessert experience, we recommend the Bread Pudding at Tambu Lounge in the Polynesian Resort! You can get the Mother’s Day Sweet Treats Box at Capt. Cook’s from May 6th through the 8th, so you don’t have much time! Keep following DFB for more Disney snack news!
