Disney Springs in Disney World is home to more than 60 places to eat, many of which have world-class dining options available, so it takes a LOT for a restaurant to stand out here. But one location that definitely has a spot near the top of our must-try list is Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ Kitchen.
From Thigh High Chicken Biscuits to decadent Mac and Cheese to their signature Hummingbird Cake, we’ve very rarely been disappointed by any of the food at this spot. As if we needed a reason to visit Chef Art Smith’s again soon, the restaurant just announced 8 NEW menu items that are available now!
Homecomin’ actually came out with some new menu items just last fall, but they’re not stopping with the updates anytime soon. Today, they released pictures of 8 new items coming to the menu in Disney World! Here’s a look at the new dishes, which the restaurant announced are available now on the regular menu (though we haven’t seen them appear on the online menus on the My Disney Experience app yet).
For food items, you can check out the St. Augustine Mahi-Mahi, which is fresh-caught Mahi, grilled and drizzled with a lemon-garlic butter sauce, served with roasted potatoes, carrots, squash, and snap peas for market price.
There’s also a Grilled Shrimp, Watermelon, and Feta Salad, which includes grilled ancho shrimp, watermelon, feta cheese, grape tomatoes, fresh mint, romaine, and arugula tossed in green goddess dressing and drizzled with balsamic glaze for $19.
A new dish on the appetizers menu is the Spicy Cauliflower Wings (a dish that’s becoming quite the trend with Disney World restaurants lately), which are cauliflower florets flash-fried and tossed in a hot honey sauce for $14.
For healthier side options, you can check out the Summer Squash Casserole for $8…
…or the Roasted Veggie & Potato Medley, which is also $8.
There will also be a few new cocktails, including a Passionfruit Daiquiri, made with Flor de Cana rum, Cointreau, passionfruit, lime juice, and simple syrup, garnished with an edible flower for $14.
The Tropical Itch has Woodford Brion Barrel Select Bourbon, Plantation OFTD Rum, Cointreau, passionfruit, pineapple and lemon juices, and it’s garnished with your very own bamboo back scratcher for $18.
Or you can spice things up with the Spicy Watermelon Margarita, which has jalapeño-infused tequila, Dobel Barrel-Strength Anejo, chili simple syrup, and fresh watermelon for $14.
Homecomin’ said that these new dishes were inspired by the Sunshine State, and many feature summer flavors just in time for the season. You can head in now to try them out!
