The mischievous Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland has inspired some of our favorite Disney treats, like the Cat Tail from Cheshire Cafe in Magic Kingdom.
But if flaky pastries aren’t your thing, there’s another Cheshire Cat-inspired treat you can grab in Disney World right now! As a bonus — you don’t even need a park ticket to order it. But can it beat the Cat Tail?? Let’s find out!
At Gasparilla Island Grill in Disney’s Grand Floridian Hotel & Spa, you can find a variety of quick service goodies as well as a bakery case filled with regular and seasonal treats.
New to the menu is the Cheshire Cat Wild Berry Parfait, made with layers of wildberry mousse, raspberry sauce, berry crumble, and a Cheshire Cat white chocolate disc for $6.49. It looks just like the Cheshire Cat’s stripes!
So first of all, if you’re thinking that this is a typical breakfast parfait, you’d be wrong. This is more like a dessert parfait than a traditional yogurt parfait.
However, we were SHOCKED by how much we liked this! It’s a perfect mix of sweet and tart and the flavors work well together. The layer of berry crumble gives it nice flavoring and a good crunch, and the fruit layer is REALLY tart (in a good way!).
If you’re looking for a healthy breakfast or you’re not a fan of sweet or tart flavors, this is probably a skip for you. But as a dessert parfait, it’s delicious, and if you like your treats sweet and sour, you should definitely give it a try.
The Cat Tail is still our favorite Cheshire Cat treat, but if you want to try a NEW cat treat head over to Gasparilla Island Grill for the Cheshire Cat Wild Berry Parfait! And keep following DFB for more Disney food reviews!
Is the new $32 POG drink in Disney World worth it?? We found out!
