One of the most challenging parts of a Disney World vacation can be finding where to stay and what food to eat while you’re there!
Shades of Green
If you stay on Disney property, you can choose between Value, Moderate, and Deluxe resorts, but you also have the option of staying at a Good Neighbor Hotel (not owned by Disney). Shades of Green Hotel is one of these Good Neighbor Hotels, and it might be a good option if you qualify to stay here because they just announced that the breakfast buffet is returning to the Garden Gallery!
Shades of Green is a hotel on Disney World property that’s reserved for past and present members of the Military and their families. This spot previously boasted an extensive breakfast buffet (at a much lower cost than most Disney buffets), but it’s been missing from the hotel for a while. Now, however, that buffet is finally returning!

The Garden Gallery restaurant serves buffet-style meals. For breakfast, you can get 13 hot items each morning, such as eggs, bacon, waffles, pancakes, and so much more. Last time we visited the buffet, there was an omelet station, made-to-order pancakes, and even a kids’ buffet.

And before you even ask, yes — this spot does serve Mickey waffles. The buffet also includes some complimentary drinks, although bottled drinks and alcoholic beverages cost extra.

The breakfast buffet is available from 7AM to 11AM daily, and it costs $17.50 for adults, $10 for children 5-11, and $3.50Â for kids 2-4. However, this spot will have a special discount for the month of June this year!
Kids’ buffet
Guests at Shades of Green can save 10% on the breakfast buffet from June 1st through the 30th, 2022! In addition, kids ages 4 and under will eat free during this time.
Fruit
You can call (888) 593-2242 to purchase a Garden Gallery Breakfast Meal Plan before you arrive at the hotel in order to reserve your spot for breakfast. Note that everyone staying in the room will need to be on the breakfast meal plan for the entire length of stay.
