Picture it: you’ve gotten back to your Disney World hotel after a LOOOONG day in the parks. You just showered, put on your comfy PJs, turned on the Disney TV to that lovely channel with the amazing music loop (you know what we’re talking about), and your feet are finally up, resting on the bed. And then you realize…you gotta eat.
UGH! You’re not feeling any of the food in the resort’s quick service restaurant. All you want is some food from the “outside” world to be delivered to you! What do you order? Well, we’ve got a handy dandy list for you to use with just a few potential picks!
Some of these suggestions come from our very own team members, based on the food they love to grab when in the Orlando area. Others come with pretty good ratings and could give you something unique to try! All are available for delivery (based on our check to deliver food items to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort through one of a few delivery services). Let’s dive into the food!
1 — Giordano’s
This choice came recommended SPEEDILY from one of our team members who shares that they can’t get items from this spot where they live, so they LOVE to order it when they’re in Disney and looking for a non-Disney meal.
The Giordano’s menu includes a whole bunch of Italian-style items including salads, garlic Parmesan fries, garlic bread, thin crust pizza, STUFFED(!) deep dish pizza, sandwiches, and classic Italian dishes.
You can visit the Giordano’s website to learn more and order delivery from the Lake Buena Vista location (12151 S Apopka Vineland Rd, Lake Buena Vista FL 32836). Prices range from around $5 for some appetizers to upwards of $42 for large stuffed deep dish pizzas.
2 — Publix Sub
More in the mood for a sandwich? Allow us to introduce you to the BEAUTY that is a Publix sub. We’re talking the BELOVED chicken tender sub, an Italian sub, a turkey sub, and more. There are SO many choices and so many ways to customize things to make the perfect sandwich for you!
You can place an order through the Instacart app or online through Publix/Instacart to deliver these incredible sandwiches straight to you! Subs typically start at around $7 for a half, closer to $11 for a whole — but prices can vary.
3 — Jersey Mike’s Subs
Another sub/sandwich option is Jersey Mike’s! There’s a local right over in Windemere, just a hop, skip, and a jump away from Disney World’s hotels. From cold subs to hot subs, there’s plenty to pick from. Maybe a Club Sub is in your future? Or perhaps it’s all about Mike’s Famous Philly? The choice is yours!
Jersey Mike’s subs are sliced and served fresh, and each sub is made to order so you can really get this done how YOU want it! You can order these sandwiches and get them delivered to your hotel through Uber Eats or Door Dash. Subs can range from around $9.15 to $11+, though you can get some mini subs for less or giant subs for more!
4 — Flippers Pizzeria
Looking for another pizza option? Might we suggest Flippers Pizzeria?! They’ve got salads, Asiago pepperoni rolls(!), sandwiches, brick oven pizzas, calzones, and more!
You can order plenty of goodies from this spot through Uber Eats and Door Dash. Prices can start at around $5 for some salads or sides and go to around $25 for a 16″ pizza.
5 — Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers
If a burger is more your style, Orlando has a ton of options. One of our team member’s favorites is Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers! In terms of savory options, you’ll find steakburgers of all kinds — including one that comes as a patty melt, a double with cheese, or even one that is California style! There are also chicken sandwiches, frozen custard (HELLO did someone say a turtle sundae?!?), hot dogs, and more.
You can order from Freddy’s through Uber Eats and Door Dash. Burgers can run you around $9.40-$11, while frozen custard can be around $8.15 (sometimes more or less depending on size and toppings).
6 — Run and Run Chinese Restaurant
Sometimes nothing hits the spot better than fried rice, a little sweet and sour chicken, and some krab rangoon. And for that, Run and Run Chinese Restaurant has you covered!
Run and Run is a Chinese restaurant that’s got all your favorites — beef with broccoli, honey chicken, family meals that’ll feed the whole gang, and even fried sweet donuts!
You can order from Run and Run Chinese through Uber Eats. Prices range anywhere from just under $2 for certain appetizers to upwards of nearly $70 for a family meal for 5.
7 — Kilwins (Celebration)
What about dessert? Well, we haven’t left you hanging there! Over at Kilwins (Celebration), you can get some seriously SWEET treats. Peanut caramel corn, peanut brittle, ice cream, milkshakes, all kinds of chocolate-covered things, fudge, caramel apples, and MORE make up their menu.
Sweets are no joke here! You can order from Kilwins through Door Dash and Uber Eats. Prices vary a lot depending on what you get. On the lower end of things, you can pick up a milk chocolate peanut butter cup for $4.99. On the higher end, you can go BIG with a $34.99 family assortment (14oz) of chocolate!
BONUS!
Of course, we’re all about food here so we couldn’t just limit our list to those picks above! We gotta give you some bonus options. Here are just a few:
- Tijuana Flats (Mexican/American food) (4.6 stars on Uber Eats and Door Dash)
- Shake Shack (burgers and other sandwiches) (4.6 stars on Uber Eats, 4.4 stars on Door Dash) (Warning: Uber Eats delivery fee can be quite expensive and more than $7)
- Five Guys (burgers and other items) (4.5 stars on Uber Eats; 4.6 stars on DoorDash)
- Santiagos Restaurant (Spanish, Latin fusion, Caribbean — Cuban sandwich, churrasco steak, etc.) (4.7 stars on Door Dash and Uber Eats)
- Bento Asian Kitchen + Sushi (Asian, Chinese, sushi, Japanese, fusion — everything from poke bowls to sushi rolls and bento boxes) (4.7 stars on Uber Eats and Door Dash)
- Chik-Fil-A (chicken sandwiches and nuggets) (4.7 stars on Door Dash)
- Pineapple Grill (breakfast spot with Mickey Pancakes! and more) (4.9 stars on Door Dash)
- Keke’s Breakfast Cafe (breakfast spot with waffles, pancakes, omelets, and more) (4.6 stars on Door Dash and Uber Eats)
And, of course, you’ll find more local spots available through both platforms, as well as more chain restaurants — it all depends on what you’re in the mood for!
That’s just a look at some of the places you can order from while at Disney World. A few rules: before ordering, triple check that the restaurant/store can deliver to your location; be sure to check on those prices and menu offerings as things can change; check to see if there’s a particular delivery service/app that is more economical in terms of delivery fees.
Also, keep in mind that these delivery services can’t deliver all the way to your room, so be prepared to walk to the lobby/front of the resort to pick up your food!
