If you’re not going to Disney Springs during your Disney World trip, you might be missing out!
On what, you may ask? Well, dozens of unique stores with cool merchandise, some of the BEST restaurants in all of Disney World, and several particularly fun and over-the-top snacks! Plus, the shopping and dining complex has several entertainment options with live music, Cirque du Soleil, a movie theater, and more. BUT if you haven’t been in a minute, some things have changed — so today, we’re sharing everything that’s new in Disney Springs!
Disney Springs Food Updates
Marketplace Snacks
Of course, we’ve got to start out with the FOOD. Marketplace Snacks recently switched up its menu, and we got not one, not two, but FIVE new waffle sundaes on the menu! They’re inspired by the Fab 5 characters, and each one has its own unique look and flavor profile.
The Goofy Peanut Grand Waffle Sundae was actually our favorite of the group, made with vanilla and chocolate soft serve, hot fudge, peanuts, sliced bananas, sliced strawberries, mini M&M’S, and a cherry. That’s a LOT of flavors!
For something more “traditional,” there’s the Mickey Cookie Waffle Sundae. This sundae is vanilla soft-serve, hot fudge, cookie crumbles, and white chocolate chip pearls in a Mickey bubble waffle. It even has two little Oreo ears and a small red bowtie to complete the theme!
And we have to mention Mickey’s sweetheart, Minnie! Her treat is called the Minnie Sweet Strawberry Waffle Sundae and it’s made with vanilla soft serve, strawberry topping, sliced strawberries, and white chocolate pearl crisps. It was the lightest of all the sundaes since it doesn’t have any chocolate — so it might be a great summertime snack!
Peanut butter and chocolate fans will fall in love with the new Pluto Peanut Butter Waffle Sundae made with chocolate soft-serve, chocolate-covered pretzels, peanut butter sauce, and chocolate chip pearls. It’s one of the richest options thanks to all that chocolate, and we would recommend splitting this snack with someone else just because of the sheer amount of toppings.
And finally, there’s the Donald Lemon and Blueberry Waffle Sundae. This was our second favorite out of all five, because it was light and refreshing! It’s made with vanilla soft-serve, lemon curd, blueberries, and popping candy, so it doesn’t have quite as many ingredients as the others do, but that might be perfect for your appetite.
Each of these sundaes was $8.99 and you can find them all at Marketplace Snacks currently!

The Polite Pig
And speaking of yummy new eats, let’s talk about that Sweet Tea Fried Chicken Chef Special at The Polite Pig! It’s served with succotash, a cheddar biscuit, coleslaw, and hot honey, all for $19. (Plus, you get a teeny tiny bottle of Tabasco on the side!)
We thoroughly enjoyed this meal…it really hit the spot! The fried chicken and biscuit were delicious, but that succotash was the real star overall. Make sure to check out our full review to decide if you should order this on your next trip.
