Disney World has changed a LOT recently!
We’ve seen updates with Genie+, the addition of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and a bunch of new snacks, to name a few. If you’re heading to the parks this month, you may be a bit overwhelmed with everything going on, so we’re rounding up all the things you need to know if you’re visiting Disney World in June 2022!
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue Returns
If you’ve been craving some top-tier entertainment with your meal at Disney World, then you’ll be happy to know that the rowdy and hilarious Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is returning soon! The dinner show reopens on June 23rd, and reservations are now available to book on the Disney World website.
When it returns, Hoop-Dee-Doo will have some new upgrades. Disney shared that they updated the sound and lighting systems, and changed up the script slightly, as well as the scenery. We can’t wait to see what this slightly altered version is like when we stop by on opening night! Stay tuned for a full review.

New Rooms Open at the Grand Floridian
Disney World’s fanciest hotel has been getting a makeover these past few months, and it’s almost time to check out some brand-new rooms! Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort has been under construction to add new DVC Resort Studios to the Big Pine Key Building. We’ve been watching the construction progress and we even got to peek inside one of the new rooms, but later this month, guests will be able to stay inside.
These rooms are officially available for booking for check-in starting June 20th. They’re inspired by the movie Mary Poppins Returns and they’ve been updated with new furniture, features, and decor. This could be the luxury accommodations you’ve been dreaming of!

If you’re hoping to travel to The Most Magical Place on Earth next year, then good news — those vacation packages go on sale in just a few days! On June 8th, bookings open for tickets, hotels, and packages with 2023 travel dates.Â
Disney has confirmed that Early Theme Park Entry will be a returning perk for next year, and the 50th Anniversary celebrations will continue through March, so there’s still time to check those offerings out if you haven’t been yet!

Genie+ Booking is Changing
And June 8th isn’t just an important date for 2023 travelers, it’s also the day that some big changes are coming for Genie+ in Disney World. Currently, guests can purchase Genie+ in advance by adding it to their tickets or package, but that will no longer be the case starting June 8th.
Beginning on that date, guests will only be able to purchase Genie+ one day at a time for their vacation, starting at midnight on that day. This means you’ll either need to stay up late or wake up early during your trip to purchase it for each day that you’d like to use the new system. Keep in mind that Genie+ reservations are available to book at 7AM each morning, so you’ll want to make sure you buy it before then to get those benefits!
