Not long ago Disney announced the first-ever Disneyland After Dark: Grad Nite Reunion ticketed event, a four-hour event during which Disney will celebrate the last six decades of graduating classes in Disney California Adventure.
This event will allow guests to experience exclusive offerings not typically available in Disneyland Resort, such as special cafeteria-inspired dishes, characters, photo ops, entertainment, and more. Today Disney revealed a few more details about this brand new event, and we know the dates and some of the food that guests can choose from!
The 2022 Disneyland After Dark: Grad Nite Reunion will take place at Disney California Adventure on Thursday, June 23rd, Tuesday, June 28th, and Thursday, June 30th, 2022. The event will take place from 8PM to 12AM, with the pre-party kicking off at 5PM — which means ticket holders can enter the park (no park reservation necessary) three hours before the event officially begins. Ticket prices depend on the date, and the prices vary from $150 to $154.
When it comes to entertainment, there will be a pep rally that takes place on the usual parade route in California Adventure, with Mickey’s glee club and Goofy’s dance team performing to music provided by the All-American College Band. In Cars Land, guests can join a Route 66 street party inspired by the 1960s, led by the DJ “Hot-Rod,” with the dance instructor “Cam” teaching the Hully Gully.
Another graduating class dance party will be available in Hollywood Land, where guests can dance to more modern hits from genres such as hip hop, cumbia, reggae, pop, funk, and more. And in Pacific Wharf, there will be lots of singing to karaoke disco tracks from the 1970s and 1980s.
Select attractions will be available throughout the event and in our experience, they tend to have much shorter wait times during after hours events than a regular day in the parks.
Other special opportunities will include character meet-and-greets with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Daisy, Chip, and Dale wearing their graduation caps and gowns. You can also picture yourself on a “school bus!”
When it comes to food, guests will be able to try dishes like the OG Hot Dog from Award Wieners, which is a bacon-wrapped all-beef footlong hot dog with grilled onions, mayo, mustard, spicy ketchup, and pickled jalapeno relish served on a toasted bun with choice of mandarin oranges or filmstrip fries.
Nearby at Schmoozies!, guests can try the All That and a Berry Cereal Shake, a vanilla ice cream shake with crunchy cereal topped with whipped cream and berry cereal.
If you’re looking for pizza, guests can try the Stupendous Sriracha & Bacon Pizza Slice from Pym Test Kitchen in Avengers Campus. This spicy sriracha pizza is made with spicy candied bacon and fried eggs served with kale Caesar salad.
Looking for a dessert item in Avengers Campus? The It’s Like a Unicorn Raspberry Cheesecake Ration from Terran Treats is a yellow raspberry-flavored spiral churro with cheesecake icing.
Over in Cars Land, the Cherry Cone-vertible from Cozy Cone Motel is made with vanilla soft serve served in a cinnamon bread cone with warm cherries.
In Grizzly Park, Smokejumpers Grill will be serving the Cheeseburger Mac Burger, which comes with double burger patties topped with cheeseburger mac, burger sauce, pickles, and cheese sauce served with crinkle-cut fries.
And from Goofy’s Churro Cart, the Bling Bling Cereal Churro is a classic churro rolled in chocolate cookie crumbs, topped with cereal mix and condensed milk.

Just did a grad nite party in May. The only bummer was security getting into the park. There is a big difference between making sure people and the park are safe and treating everyone like a criminal. (I was a chaperone BTW)

Will other, healthier food options be available? Or is this it? That’s Disney’s idea of “cafeteria inspired” food options? Also, no mention of which attractions will be open. For the price it doesn’t seem remotely worth it. Plus $30 parking fee. I’ve kept my eye on this for more than a month, and it just seems to be a big fail. It’s no wonder tickets are readily available.
