A beloved dining experience is returning soon in Disney World — Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue!
The dinner show over at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort is officially coming back on June 23rd for a musical extravaganza. Reservations are available now, and we also know that some changes are coming to the show. Disney already confirmed a lot of the menu, but now we have a FULL LOOK at the menu coming to Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue!
Hoop-Dee-Doo serves comfort food and a LOT of it! You start off with The Hoop Salad, which has the signature “hoop” vinaigrette topped with sharp white cheddar, cucumbers, and tomatoes. There is also a House-made Cornbread with honey butter! And, you can also try the Creamy Coleslaw before the main course arrives at your table.
For the main course, you’ll get things like the Pecan-smoked BBQ Pork Ribs with BBQ sauce and the Legendary Fried Chicken! As for sides, there is the Cornbread-crusted Macaroni and Cheese, the Home-style Mashed Potatoes, and Cowboy Beans.
For dessert, finish off your meal with ‘Ma’s Famous Strawberry Shortcake topped with whipped cream and strawberries.
There are also a ton of drinks to enjoy! You get all-you-care-to-enjoy with fountain drinks and for those over 21, red and white sangria, draft beer, and wine are also included. But, there are also some adult beverages you can enjoy for an added cost, like the new The Giddy-Up cocktail featuring the hall barkeep’s blend of Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Minute Maid Premium Lemonade, and freshly brewed iced tea.
There will also be an assortment of locally crafted beers including Tampa Bay Brewing Elephant Foot IPA, Cigar City Jai Alai IPA, Cigar City Maduro Brown Ale, Orange Blossom Pilsner, Central 28 UnderDuck Lager, and 3 Daughters Brewing Blonde Ale.
If you have any dietary needs or restrictions, don’t worry — you can just let the chef know when you check-in and they’ll get you an alternative dish.
We had some of these dishes the last time we were at Hoop-Dee-Doo, which was before it shut down for the 2020 Disney World closures. The past menu included the fried chicken, smoked pork ribs, mashed potatoes, cowboy beans, and strawberry shortcake.
We also have previously had the cornbread…
…and the salad during the meal.
And we’ve tried the sangria, too!
The reopened dinner show will have new LED lights, improved audio, and some changes to the scenery and the script. A stage manager, David Moore, shared that these changes are meant to “improve the overall experience for the guests.”
You can book your reservations for Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue right now! The showtimes as of right now are at 4PM, 6:15PM, and 8:30PM, and seating begins immediately at those times. Then, the show begins 20 minutes after the doors open.
Pricing for the meal depends on where you’re sitting inside, and what time you pick for your reservation. You can find out more about the pricing right here.

Any word on the allergy menu?

Would love to go… really struggling to get a reservation! It’s almost impossible!
Ken says
Oh well, same old, same old. There is nothing on the menu that says “I gotta come back here”.
How about something new to shake things up…
Rattlesnake skins (Onion rings) or maybe succotash or corn or something. I would love to go again, but he typical uninspired Disney food holds me back.

We went MANY years ago and had a ball! It was so long ago that I made the reservations a YEAR in advance! We sat on the floor – in the middle – and at the table next to us was Danny DeVito, Rhea Perlman, their child, and nanny. An experience we will never forget.

What a fun memory, Dottyanna! Thank you for sharing that with us!

is the sangria real or out of a can??

Thanks for all this info although you should include the fact that Hoop-Dee-Doo does not really give you other options when it comes to food allergies and the dessert. I recently dined at the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue on Saturday April 29th. Prior to coming to the resort, I had inquired about the food options as it relates to the dessert since I have a strawberry allergy and the only dessert option on the menu is strawberry shortcake. On the website, it says that “This location can accommodate most special dietary requests. Food allergy requests must be noted at the time of reservation.” This was also told to me on the phone and the best thing to do was to tell remind the staff when I arrived that I had an allergy.
Upon arriving at the dining location I was directed to the chef & I explained my allergy. The chef then said that they could give me an angel food cake. I asked if that was the only option as I was expecting to at least be presented with some choices such as a cookie, brownie or even ice cream, but no. I was basically told it was angel food cake or nothing at all. Since I was paying for a meal that included dessert, I said I would take the angel food, but upon trying it later, I was disappointed in the quality as it was dense, dry and not flavorful.
It seems ridiculous to me that it says on the website (and is repeated by the staff on the phone) that they can accommodate most dietary restrictions or issues, but will not give guests options to choose from when they show up at the show. Now I understand that the Hoop-dee-Doo Revue has a whole song that’s devoted to the strawberry shortcake dessert hence the reason it’s the only dessert listed, but that does not mean that they should not have multiple options for people who cannot eat that item. Even if the chef cannot make something to order, there is the Trail’s End Restaurant right next door that has dessert items on its menu such as Housemade Fruit Cobbler, Red Velvet Cake, a Sundae Bar, Assorted Brownies, Assorted Cookies, and a Mason Jar Dessert Trio that includes Banana Pudding, Fort Chocolate Mousse and Candied Apple Pie. If a person cannot eat the strawberry shortcake, they should be given the option of getting something from the Trail’s End dessert menu.
When I was told that I had to have the angel food cake or go without and then could not even enjoy that cake, I felt very left out of the dessert portion of the experience. Everyone else was sitting there with a sweet treat to close out the show while I had nothing sweet to finish my evening. While I enjoyed the show as a whole, this portion was not as fun. No one should be made to feel excluded from an experience because of any type of issue, be it physical or dietary. In the future, I would encourage Hoop-Dee-Doo revue to expand their dessert options for those with dietary restrictions or food allergies so that no one feels they have to go without, particularly after paying for a meal that includes a dessert.
