After Disney World’s historic closure and reopening two years ago, we’re still waiting on some things to return to normal at the parks.
There are still some shows that haven’t returned (yes, we’re looking at you Fantasmic!). We’re still waiting on certain restaurants to open! We’re also still waiting on the return of Minnie Vans, although Disney recently said they would return this summer. But now, we know exactly WHEN Minnie vans will be back at Disney World!
Minnie Vans will be back at Disney World on June 29th, 2022!
If you don’t know what Minnie Vans are, here’s a quick explainer: they’re Lyft-operated rideshare vehicles designed to look like Minnie Mouse. They provide direct, private transportation around Disney World property, and previously they also offered rides between Disney World and the Orlando International Airport and between Disney World and the Disney Cruise Line Terminal in Port Canaveral.
It looks like the airport ride service won’t return with the Minnie Vans this July (the airport is not listed as a destination on the website as of now), but the option could return sometime in the future.
Previously (before the closures), Minnie Vans cost $15 plus a per-mile fee starting at $2.75 per mile. Trips to and from Orlando Airport were $155 one-way and trips to and from Port Canaveral were $249 one-way. We’re still waiting on updated pricing from Disney, so we’ll let you know as soon as it’s announced. But, Disney did mention that pricing will vary by route.
Rides around Disney property are booked directly through the Lyft app. For Orlando Airport trips, you can call 407-WDW-PLAY. And, for trips to the Disney Cruise Line Terminal, you’ll need to book directly with Embarkation Services.
Guests can also use the Lyft app to request an Accessible Minnie Van if needed, and each Minnie Van comes with two complimentary car seats for your kiddos.
So, that’s another service that will be returning to Disney World soon! We’ll let you know about other returning services as soon as we have more information, so stay tuned to DFB.

The problem will now become availability. Even in the past these were extremely hard to get. Now, with even more demand, less taxi options, less ride share drivers, worse bus transportation and a skyliner that is constantly being put on pause… good luck!
I love the Minnie Vans… problem is, they need thousands in the fleet!!
What a joke! DW has been re-opened for almost two years now, and they are still lacking or still have limited services. How hard is it to staff the Minnie vans? Just like the parking lot trams and many other services, DW is just too cheap to re-hire and/or hire new employee’s to staff the vans and many other positions. Yet they keep raising prices on everything. As mentioned before, I understand the price hikes due to inflation. But as they keep raising prices, they also keep taking away and/or limiting services and everything else you pay for. They have taken away so much , but have given nothing back.
Rode in one today. Operating on test basis, being offered to a small number of customers via Lyft. Just got lucky that it popped up as an option
Connie Ban driver was estatic to be back.
