If you’re planning a Disney World vacation for later this year, you might have already bought your tickets, but there could be something you’re forgetting about.
Park Pass Reservations! Yep, Disney World is still requiring Park Pass Reservations in addition to a ticket to get into the parks. Even if you don’t know which park you want to visit on a certain day in December of 2022, it’s a good idea to go ahead and make your reservations because they can fill up. You can switch them around later (depending on availability), but it’s better to have a reservation to a different park rather than no reservation at all! But, if you’re planning to visit the parks this October, you might already be out of luck.
Park Pass Reservations are already FULL for Magic Kingdom for several days in October 2022! October 3rd, 7th, and 11th-14th are completely booked for either Magic Kingdom or Hollywood Studios. Here’s a look at reservations for people with theme park tickets…
…and here’s a look at reservations for Disney World hotel guests.
Note that the availability keeps changing for these dates, so they could open back up.
It is really odd though, as nothing major is going on during these dates. At least, nothing major that’s been announced! Park Pass Reservations ARE still open for all Annual Passholders who aren’t blocked out of these dates.
Could it be just a glitch in the system? Maybe Disney forgot to add the same amount of reservations for some parks as they did for others? Or, it’s because this is a popular time of the year to visit. A lot of colleges have Fall Breaks, and some states, like Tennessee, have a week-long Fall Break during the second week of October.
When we’ve seen reservations fill up in the past, there have been time when they get restocked. So, if you’re trying to make a reservation for one of these dates, keep looking to see if any park passes are added, and we’ll be sure to keep you updated as well!
If they don’t restock, our next suggestion would be to make a reservation for one of the other 3 parks and use a Park Hopper ticket to hop into Magic Kingdom after 2PM. If you hop from EPCOT, it’s really easy to get over to Magic Kingdom using the Monorail.
Also, note that how you can make Park Pass Reservations for Disney World has just CHANGED! Check out all of the updates right here.
We’ll keep an eye on the situation and let you know if we find out a reason for the popularity. Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney World news and updates!

I’m going this week of October and went to see how much tickets were and saw Park reservations were filled up! Got very nervous and moved my Hollywood studios date to Saturday now cause there is no other available dates. I’m also curious about this surge of popularity in this week… hoping it won’t be too overcrowded. Thanks for keeping us updated!

Monday October 10th is a holiday in Canada, when we celebrate Thanksgiving Day. Perhaps planeloads of Canadians are flying down to the most magical place on earth to ride Slinky Dog and eat Mickey pretzels.

That is the week my wife and I will be there celebrating 25 years together and her 50th birthday. Word must have gotten around that we were going and that is why it is all full. Lol.

My guess is that it could be an influx of Canadian tourists for a couple of reasons:
1.) This particular week in October aligns with Canadian thanksgiving;
2.) More and more Canadian are traveling international, especially to the the U.S. now that testing requirements have been dropped for international travelers entering the country.
There’s a lot of us (Canadian Disney fans) however, I do remain a little skeptical of my guess above.
