It seems like no matter where you look in Disney World these days, things are changing.
Whether it’s a new snack at your favorite spot or a brand new attraction on the way, no two Disney trips have looked the same lately. That’s why it’s so important to stay in the know when it comes to Disney World construction — and we’ve got the most important updates from this week below!

TRON: Lightcycle Run
We got an exciting TRON update from Walt Disney Imagineering this week! They shared the first photos of the outdoor canopy lit up at night and it looks absolutely incredible.
The team has been testing the lighting at night of what will eventually be the “Upload Conduit” where “Users” (riders) will race through on their Lightcycles. In the daylight, construction is continuing on the ground with more areas being leveled out.
Disney still hasn’t shared when we’ll be able to experience this attraction yet, so stay tuned for updates!

Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana
If you haven’t been to EPCOT lately, you might not know that the center of the park is completely walled off due to construction on the new Moana attraction and CommuniCore areas.
This week, we spotted more rock formations be put into place at what will eventually be the water-based Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana attraction.

Toy Story Mania Gift Shop
Guests are still unable to exit through the gift shop at this popular ride due to construction on the exit of Toy Story Mania.Â
For now, guests are being rerouted through a detour until construction is finished.

Disney Resorts
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
The Polynesian is undergoing quite a bit of construction on the shores of Seven Seas Lagoon. The deluxe resort is expanding to include new DVC villas restaurants, and merchandise locations. Unfortunately, that meant that the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show had to close to make way for the new building.
We hitched a ride on the monorail recently to see what was going on and found that nearly all of the Spirit of Aloha building has been demolished.Â
The construction is scheduled to be completed in late 2024, and we’ll be keeping you updated throughout the renovations.

Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts
There’s a bit of construction going on over at the Yacht and Beach Club Resorts!
Luckily, this refurbishment shouldn’t impact your visit to either hotel.
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
Those pesky Disney construction bushes have popped up on the BoardWalk — right in front of Flying Fish.
Don’t worry, though, Flying Fish is still open for guests and you can make your reservation on the My Disney Experience app!
