If you’re a fan of EPCOT festivals, we’ve got some BIG festival news today!
It might be June but Disney is already looking toward the holiday season, and today they announced the dates of EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays! Now close your eyes and imagine the holidays in Disney World. You may think of the Candlelight Processional or Santa Claus, but some of us think of something specific — COOKIES! And what’s an EPCOT festival without cookies?
The 2022 EPCOT Festival of the Holidays will open on November 25th and guests will once again be able to participate in one of the tastiest scavenger hunts in Disney World — the Cookie Stroll!
The Cookie Stroll is an optional scavenger hunt for guests who want to “stroll” around the festival and visit multiple festival booths to try five different cookies listed on the festival passport. When you complete the Cookie Stroll, you can get a FREE completer cookie!
Disney hasn’t released which cookies will be included in this year’s Cookie Stroll but last year we were able to try a Snickers-Doodle Cookie, a Black and White Cookie, a Chocolate Crinkle Cookie, a Linzer Cookie, and a Gingerbread Cookie! 🤤
The Cookie Stroll isn’t the only thing to return to this year’s Festival of the Holidays, either! Disney has confirmed that the Candlelight Processional will return, as well as Santa (of course!). And over in Magic Kingdom, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will also be back!
Disney is sure to announce more holiday news soon, so keep following DFB for Disney World updates and news!
Everything confirmed to return to the 2022 Festival of the Holidays in EPCOT!

Does Disney World do anything special for New Year’s Eve? Also do they still have all the Christmas decorations up and the giant Gingerbread house. I hope so my husband and I are going to be arriving 12/29, and I have always wanted to see WDW all decked out for the Holidays.
DFB Gigi says
Hi Sandra! Yes! Disney will have Christmas decorations up and they still do the giant gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian. There are also usually New Year’s Eve festivities around the parks. I hope you have a great time!
