Are there any rides in Disney World that you would wait for no matter HOW long the wait time was?
Maybe it’s Tower of Terror, Rise of the Resistance, Space Mountain, Frozen Ever After, or even Living with the Land (we see you!). Whichever ride it is, we can bet that even though you would wait in a long line, you would probably rather not. That’s when you turn to Disney Genie+ or rope dropping to help out! So, which rides do you need to have a plan for to avoid a super long wait? Let’s take a look at the average wait times from this week in Disney World to find out!
Magic Kingdom
Let’s head to Magic Kingdom! This week, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train had the longest average wait time with 72 minutes!
After that, we had Jungle Cruise at 65 minutes, Peter Pan’s Flight at 63 minutes, Splash Mountain at 56 minutes, Space Mountain at 50 minutes, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at 40 minutes, Haunted Mansion at 40 minutes, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin at 39 minutes, Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh at 35 minutes, Pirates of the Caribbean at 34 minutes, and Astro Orbiter at 32 minutes.
Next, we had “it’s a small world” at 24 minutes, Tomorrowland Speedway at 23 minutes, Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid at 21 minutes, Magic Carpets of Aladdin at 19 minutes, and Barnstormer featuring the Great Goofini at 17 minutes.
Then, we saw Dumbo the Flying Elephant at 15 minutes, Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover at 15 minutes, Mickey’s PhilharMagic at 15 minutes, Mad Tea Party at 12 minutes, and Prince Charming Regal Carrousel at 10 minutes.
And rides that only had wait times in the single digits were Carousel of Progress at 4 minutes and Liberty Square Riverboat at 3 minutes. Rides with no waits were Country Bear Jamboree, Tom Sawyer Island, Hall of Presidents, Enchanted Tiki Room, and Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse.
It’s super hot in Orlando right now, and the heat probably won’t let up any time soon. Magic Kingdom is usually very busy during this time as well, so that combined with the heat can be a bit tricky at times! Try to be strategic about when you take breaks in the air conditioning, whether it be on rides or to eat food. And, carry some things to help you cool down like a fan or cooling towel!

EPCOT
Over in EPCOT, the ride with the longest average wait was a tie between Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at 68 minutes and Frozen Ever After at 68 minutes.
Then, we had Test Track at 62 minutes, Soarin’ at 38 minutes, Mission: SPACE at 30 minutes, Turtle Talk with Crush at 21 minutes, Spaceship Earth at 16 minutes, The Seas with Nemo and Friends at 12 minutes, Journey into Imagination at 12 minutes, Living with the Land at 12 minutes, and Gran Fiesta Tour at 12 minutes.
Most of the theater shows in EPCOT had zero waits this past week! These included: Awesome Planet, Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along, Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival, Impressions de France, and Reflections of China!
Remember that EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival will be wrapping up soon! It ends on July 4th, so you only have a little more time to check out the booths, topiaries, gardens, and merchandise that’s available for the festival. But, if you miss out, don’t worry — Food and Wine Festival starts on July 14th!

Hollywood Studios
Moving on to Hollywood Studios, Rise of the Resistance had the highest average wait time this week at 122 minutes.
After that, we had Tower of Terror at 102 minutes, Slinky Dog Dash at 90 minutes, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run at 68 minutes, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster featuring Aerosmith at 61 minutes, Toy Story Mania at 59 minutes, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway at 54 minutes.
And finally, we had Alien Swirling Saucers at 36 minutes, Star Tours – The Adventures Continue at 22 minutes, Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy at 15 minutes, Muppet*Vision 3D at 10 minutes, and Walt Disney Presents at 8 minutes.
If you want to make sure you can get on Rise of the Resistance with a lower wait time while you’re at Hollywood Studios, consider rope dropping the attraction first thing in the morning. Or, you can buy an individual Lightning Lane through Disney Genie+.

Animal Kingdom
Hopping over to Animal Kingdom, the ride with the longest average wait time this week was Avatar Flight of Passage at 102 minutes.

Following behind was It’s Tough to Be a Bug at 12 minutes, Triceratop Spin at 9 minutes, The Boneyard at 0 minutes, and Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail at 0 minutes.
Animal Kingdom can get super hot too, especially in the summer, so if you need to cool down, consider hanging out on the porch or inside Nomad Lounge. Or, if you REALLY want to beat the heat, hop on Kali River Rapids, but beware — you might get super soaked!
