Staying in a Disney World hotel means you’re getting so much more than a place to sleep.
You’re getting fun Disney-themed activities (including many you might not even know about), Disney food (which you KNOW we love), Disney theming, Disney shopping, and more! So what’s been going on with Disney World hotels recently? Let’s find out!
Polynesian Village Resort Food Updates
Kona Cafe
We tried an OUTRAGEOUS snack at Kona Cafe. It’s the Dad’s Favorite Snacks Tart, which is a Chocolate Tart with Coconut Macadamia Topping, Dad’s Favorite Snacks (Potato Chips, Snickers, Popcorn, and M&M’S), Rum Chocolate Caramel Sauce, and a Chocolate-Dipped Bacon piece on top. Yeah, there was a lot going on there.
But regardless of all that stuff on the tart, it was absolutely delicious! It had all the makings of a classic sweet and salty snack. It’s no longer available, but it was $6.29 — maybe they’ll bring it back for Father’s Day next year!

Also, we asked about housekeeping at the resorts. For the suites, housekeeping is now being done every day, while it’s every other day for all other rooms.

Grand Floridian Food Updates
Enchanted Rose Lounge
For the moment, both Amor and Envy are off the menu because Disney can’t get the alcohol from the distributor.
The good news is that new menu items will be coming soon!

David Dominie says
Pop Century. Great bus service does not share with other hotels. We only sleep and shower there, no need to spend a stupid amount of money at a moderate or premium hotel. However, even the value resorts are getting out of hand on their pricing.
