It’s here! The day is finally here.
We have been waiting so long to board Disney Cruise Line‘s newest ship, the Disney Wish, and that day has finally arrived. Today is the ship’s Christening Ceremony, followed by the maiden voyage, and we’re thrilled to be attending both. If you weren’t able to catch the Christening Ceremony online, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.
Bright and early this morning, we boarded a Disney Cruise Line bus to go to Port Canaveral, where the Disney Wish is docked.

When we arrived, we made sure to have all of the documents we needed (you’ll need your passport and Port Arrival form if you’re sailing with Disney Cruise Line), and then we headed up to the docks to see the new ship.
After a brief wait, it was time for the Christening Ceremony to begin. This ceremony takes place on the dock, with the Disney Wish located right behind the stage.

During the event, Disney also honored the godchildren of the Disney Wish — all the Make-A-Wish children! And during more performances, we saw characters like Chip and Dale, Daisy, Donald, Goofy, Tiana and Naveen, Cinderella and Prince Charming, Woody and Buzz Lightyear, Elsa and Anna, Rapunzel and Flynn, and more!
Are you ready to come on board with us? We’re certainly ready to set sail and check out the Wish’s restaurants, exclusive merchandise, and other special offerings. If you’ll be stepping on a Disney Cruise soon, make sure you know all that’s included with your cruise. Stay tuned to DFB, and we’ll bring you all you need to know about sailing on the Disney Wish!

We do this because it’s important to us as journalists to ensure not only that we give you unbiased opinions, but also that you can trust us to do so since we’re paying our own way. On rare occasions, when we are invited by a company to attend a preview as media, and when we choose to accept that invitation, we will always make you, our readers, aware of that situation. Today, we were invited by Disney World to attend their media preview of the Disney Wish. Note that when we attend events as media we are 1) Not required to review that event/food on any of our channels, and 2) Not required to review that event/food favorably. You can always count on DFB to give you a 100% unbiased and honest review of any event that we attend, food that we eat, or beverage that we drink. You can see more in our Disclosure Policy.
