The Disney Wish is Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, and we got to check it all out!
We’ve tried the restaurants, checked out the pools, explored the ship, and more on the Disney Wish. There is just SO much to do on board, like some exclusive dining experiences and the first ever Disney attraction at sea! You can check out our big overview on the ship right here, but we wanted to break down a specific location that has some special details — the Wishing Star Cafe!
Location
The Wishing Star Cafe is located on Deck 4 off of the Grand Hall of the ship. It sits between the Untangled Salon and Hook’s Barbery.
You can access the cafe from the Grand Hall. Also nearby is Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.
Atmosphere
The Wishing Star Cafe is themed after the Wishing Star from Disney’s Pinocchio. It’s a smaller space with less than a dozen chairs set up at a bar, with a long high top counter in front of it.
Around the cafe, you can find fun Pinocchio details, like Jiminy Cricket!
There are some cool inscriptions on the mirrors, like this one that says “You deserve to have your wish come true,” from Jiminy.
It’s a whimsical space with fun touches, but if this place gets crowded, it will probably be difficult to grab a seat.
Let’s try something out!
Drinks
The Wishing Star Cafe is a coffee bar, but it also serves specialty cocktails. There are several spirits behind the bar, but we needed a dose of caffeine, so we got a latte! The Cast Member recommended adding Salted Caramel and Coconut to ours. And, as you can see, we got some fun latte art, too.
This was SO GOOD! The espresso had a great flavor to it and it was perfectly steamed. The combination of the flavored syrups also went really well together.
We were worried this might be too sweet, but it wasn’t at all! Our reporter said it was one of the best lattes they’ve had in a while.
It’s good to know there’s a nice spot for some specialty coffees aboard the ship! This small spot really did pack a big punch when it came to our beverage of choice.
This is far from the only bar aboard the ship, though. There are some adults-only bars and lounges like Nightingale’s, The Bayou, The Rose, and more.
Or, if you want something with a TON of theming, you can check out Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge to be launched out of this world while sipping on some galactic cocktails.

We were on the Disney Wish this past Nov. 28 – Dec. 4? 2023! We did have a nice time, but there were a few hiccups. We did walk by the Wishing Star Cafe’ and really wanted to stop. The smell of coffee was undeniably wonderful! Because of the size of the ship, activity available overload, and pressing engagements, we never had the chance to try it. We are sailing on the Wish next Monday, and have already decided, Wishing Star Cafe here we come!
