There are a LOT of changes happening these days in Disney World.
Multiple hotels are getting updated, new rides are coming in the future, and some entertainment options are returning after a long hiatus. One of the changes we checked out recently is the newly reimagined Top of the World Lounge at Disney’s Bay Lake Tower. The new space has been rethemed with Disney Villains decor and new drinks and eats, but now there’s a special fireworks viewing option at the Villains Lair as well!
Disney recently announced the Wicked Wind Down, a food-and-fireworks combo that’s the perfect way to end your night. For $55, guests can select a cocktail and appetizer from the lounge’s Villains-themed menu, then enjoy the Disney Enchantment fireworks show from a specially reserved area of the rooftop terrace.
Your purchase of Wicked Wind Down also includes a “sinfully sweet treat,” but keep in mind that tax and gratuity are not included in the price. Call Member Services at (800) 800-9800 to book this experience. Currently, reservations are available for dates from July 11th-August 11th, 2022, but more dates will be added soon.
But keep in mind that this isn’t available for everyone. Eligible members of the Disney Vacation Club (with access to membership extras) “who are staying at a Disney-owned-and-operated hotel at Walt Disney World Resort using their Membership” can add this offering onto their plans on select dates, which exclude holidays and special events.
It’s subject to capacity restraints, and those who book Wicked Wind Down should arrive no later than 30 minutes before the fireworks show. You’ll even get your own reserved table in the lounge!
Even if you don’t want to pay extra for the fireworks experience, if you’re an eligible DVC member, you can still check out the revamped Villains Lair. When we stopped by, we tried a variety of “wicked” drinks and eats, and the atmosphere includes some fun villainous touches. During our visit, they were even playing some spooktacular tunes!
We’ll make sure to keep you updated with any other special experiences that come available in the parks soon. With options like fireworks dessert parties, special tours, and even excursions at your hotel, there are plenty of ways to make your Disney trip a little extra special.
