How do you beat the heat in Disney World?
Everyone has their own go-to method to escape the weather. You can fast-walk to the closest Dole Whip, seek shelter by shopping (my personal fave), watch a show inside an air-conditioned building, or take a ride on Splash Mountain! Of course, there’s always the option to take a dip in the hotel pool. And if that’s your favorite way to beat the heat, you’ll want to plan your 2024 Disney trip carefully, as 3 Disney World Resort hotels will be shutting down pools for several months.
Okay, planning ahead to 2024 may seem a bit…preemptive. But time flies by fast, and we know some of you like to plan your trips years in advance. So, without further delay, check out the closures that could affect your spring trip in 2024!
Over at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter, guests will be unable to access the Doubloon Lagoon Pool from January 2024 to April 2024. The pool will be undergoing routine maintenance during the closure. Instead, guests will still be able to take a dip into Ol’ Man Island Pool at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — Riverside.
And over at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, the Fuentes del Morro Pool will be undergoing routine maintenance as well, from January 2024 to April 2024. During this closure, guests can swim in any of the 5 leisure pools instead. There’s one in each village, and they provide a refreshing break from the heat.
So if you’re planning a trip for 2024, be sure to keep these closures in mind! For more planning information, check out some closures that might impact your next vacation. Or take a look at how EPCOT is transforming.
