Yes, we’ll admit that we’re a bit obsessed with Starbucks.
It’s not JUST about the coffee, though (although it can be fun to grab a frappuccino in Disney World). Starbucks often gets some delicious snacks, like the Lime Frosted Coconut Bar, the Liege Waffle, and holiday treats. So when there’s a snack we haven’t tried before, you know we have to grab it!
So we headed on over to the Starbucks inside Connections Cafe in EPCOT to see what kind of snacks were available. What did we find? We found a Blondie with Butterscotch Chips, but here’s the thing…does this LOOK like a blondie to you? Blondies should be like brownies without the chocolate (which is, literally, why they’re called blondies). But this…this looks like cake!
When we bit into it, the texture was more reminiscent of a coffee cake than a traditional blondie. But flavor-wise, it was tasty. It’s simple and most of what you get is the vanilla cake flavor, although the butterscotch chips add a nice crunch.
If we had any complaints in addition to its deceptive name, we’d like a little more sweetness from those chips, but it is something that would pair well with coffee for a nice light breakfast. But if you’re expecting a classic blondie, which is generally a richer dessert, you’ll be disappointed.
If you want to try it for yourself, you can grab it for $4.99. However, if you’re wanting a classic blondie, you can hop on over to Fairfax Fare in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and grab the 50th anniversary Glimmer And Shimmer Blondie, which will satisfy that blondie craving for the same price.

You’re correct. It is misnamed. They should call it a butterscotch coffee cake.
