Although it’s only August, Disney is already gearing up for Halloween celebrations, as Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party officially kicks off on August 12th. This party will bring a fireworks show, a parade, trick-or-treat stations, and villainous meet-and-greets to Magic Kingdom, not to mention all the new treats and snacks!
Besides all the candy that guests can collect throughout the park, there will be new snacks, treats, and drinks at various restaurants and kiosks throughout Magic Kingdom. Some of these locations will also have special souvenirs, including popcorn buckets and souvenir cups — and now we know exactly WHICH collectibles will be arriving in Disney World for the occasion. Check them out here!
Disney has announced that the Glow Mickey Mummy Premium Popcorn Bucket will be returning this year, and it’ll be located at “various popcorn carts throughout the park.”
This bucket will be available both during normal park hours and during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, so you can purchase one even if you’re not going to the party. (Remember that you must purchase a separate ticket to attend the Halloween Party.)
There’s also going to be a popcorn bucket themed to Zero — the ghostly dog from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. We saw a Zero-themed popcorn bucket in Disneyland way back in 2014, so we don’t know if this year the bucket will look like that or if it’ll be a new design. This bucket will only be available during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, so you’ll need a ticket to the event if you want to buy it. It also won’t be available until early October (even though the party starts in August), when guests will be able to find it at various popcorn carts.
Guests can find a Donald Candy Corn Sipper (a souvenir cup) at several restaurants beginning in early October. This sipper will be located at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café, Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Café, The Friar’s Nook, and Sleepy Hollow Refreshments. It’ll be sold both during normal park hours and during the Halloween party.
And finally, there will be a Halloween Candy Glow Cube available at Sunshine Tree Terrace. This one will be exclusively for guests at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
This year, the Halloween party will take place on 37 nights between August 12th and October 31st. A couple of dates have already sold out, so make sure to get your tickets soon if you plan to go. Some of the special entertainment you can find at the party this year will include trick-or-treating throughout the park, Halloween overlays on some rides, a Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, the Boo-To-You Parade, and Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Fireworks.
