WDW, in my opinion, is unlikely to ever return to any semblance of what we remember as “normal” from even five years ago. The direction since then has been toward some bizarre state that long-time Disney afficionados will barely recognize, and that rapidly approaching $300 a day just to walk through the gates.
I know – Walt said that the parks would be in a constant state of change, but I don’t remember him talking about providing a less-enjoyable experience at predatory (though voluntary) pricing being a spoken core value.

In my opinion, DW could have been “back to normal” a long time ago as the Covid restrictions ended in Florida a long time ago. As mentioned in the video, it seems the main problem is the staffing (or the lack there of). DW Executives are doing what private companies do best, more work, less people, less service.
They could have brought back all of the furloughed employees and could have hired a whole bunch more by now. But they have chosen not to just to save a few dollars. Makes you wonder with all the much needed employees why Chapek instituted a hiring freeze. Corporate greed I guess. Seriuosly, what else could it be?
