Are you ready for the spookiest time of year in Disney World?!
We know we are! Between the Halloween merchandise previews and new items that have arrived online to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party getting ready to kick off, the festive fall season has finally arrived! Not only that, but some Halloween decorations that are so loved by many have returned to Magic Kingdom — let’s check them out!
The fall season in Disney World is a popular time to visit — and for good reason! Disney World does start the fall season a little early, but we’re certainly not complaining! Typically, whimsical pumpkin wreaths line Main Street, U.S.A., along with festive bunting. Last year, we saw some Halloween decorations arrive on August 2nd. This year, the full decorations haven’t yet arrived, but we did get our first taste of fall this morning!

The pumpkins decorated the spaces over City Hall…
…the Fire Station…
…the Chamber of Commerce building, and more!
And yes, the pumpkin with the bathroom sign on it is UP!
We also spotted some more pumpkins down Main Street, U.S.A.
Make sure you pay close attention to those pumpkin designs! They’re often themed to the stores/areas they’re located near and/or just have some seriously hilarious and awesome designs.
For example, near the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor…
…you may find pumpkins featuring ice cream treats!
Anyone else getting hungry?
You’ll also find some magic-themed pumpkins…
…near the House of Magic.
And above Casey’s Corner…
…you’ll see pumpkins themed to french fries…
…peanut snacks…
…baseball bats…
…and more.
You’ll also want to walk down Main Street, U.S.A. carefully to spot the interesting (and what some might consider to be creepy) clown pumpkin. 😳
Look carefully and you’ll also find this snowman pumpkin with candy corn buttons…
…some spilled ice cream…
…and a whole family of pumpkins above the Plaza Restaurant.
Be sure to look all around you and really take some time to soak in the fall feeling.
You’ll find even more pumpkins near the Emporium…
…and in other spots near the front of the park.
But be sure to look carefully. The pumpkins don’t stand out in a huge way and can sometimes be missed if you’re walking quickly.
While it’s not the full Halloween/fall set up just yet, we expect that more Halloween decor will soon arrive, especially since the first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Parties kick off very soon — on August 12th!
We’ll keep an eye out for more decorations and we’ll let you know what we find!

Laurel Lane says
I’m sorry. August is too early to be celebrating Halloween. I know not everyone can make it in October but that shouldn’t mean the holiday should be stretched into the summer. Holidays lose their meaning when they are celebrated months in advance.
Carol says
While it’s nice to see some of the Fall and Halloween decorations making an appearance, I hope they put in more of an effort this year than last year. It didn’t feel like Halloween at the Parks last year and it was a major disappointment. Disney, you can do better…we know you can…
KELLY ROBERTS says
Hi, we are travelling internationally and hoping to see some of the halloween decor, do you know when they usually take down the decorations?
Essie says
I agree that it is too early to do Halloween in August, but I think I could enjoy it in September easily enough. I’ve always loved the decorations they have in the Autumn; I especially love the pumpkins that are coordinated to the building that they decorate ie: the ice cream sundae on the plaza and the Dalmatian on the firehouse!
