Disney+ has been pumping out a ton of exclusive content. But is the hard work paying off?

Over the past couple of months, Disney’s streaming service has released Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ms. Marvel, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Lightyear. But that’s only the tip of the iceberg…there’s a lot more content on Disney+ right now (we’d just be sitting here for a long time if we listed it all out). And today, Disney met for the Fiscal Year Quarter 3 Earnings Call to discuss how Disney+ is doing. 

Disney reported that Disney+ subscribers rose to a total of 152.1 million this quarter, which is higher than the 147.76 million that analysts predicted. At this same time last year, Disney+ had 116 million subscribers — that means Disney+ saw a 31% increase in subscribers since July 3rd, 2021, with 14.4 million subscribers added in just the fiscal second quarter of 2022.

Their total number of subscriptions across all offerings, including Hulu and ESPN+, is 221.1 million.

Hulu specifically saw an 8% increase in subscribers, while ESPN+ saw a 53% increase.
