We’ve seen quite a few reopenings around Disney World lately!
Victoria & Albert’s is open once again at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, and the Harmony Barber Shop just reopened in Magic Kingdom as well. And now, it looks like ANOTHER Magic Kingdom spot has reopened — but it’s NOT what it used to be!
We’ve got MORE Magic Kingdom reopening news! Merchant of Venus in Tomorrowland has opened its doors once again — but it’s no longer a shopping location like it used to be.
Instead, Disney has transformed the spot into a relaxation and seating area! This makes sense as the area is shared with Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies. Now, you can grab your out-of-this-world treats and have an air-conditioned place to eat them!

All of the merchandise shelves and installations have been removed, and it’s now a wide open space. It’s quite a large space, too, with some welcome indoor seating.
They’ve also added some retro, space-themed attraction art to the walls to give this place those Tomorrowland vibes. You can take a seat in Merchant of Venus daily starting at 11AM — the same time Auntie Gravity’s opens. We’ll continue to look out for more news about Merchant of Venus — stay tuned.

While the name says Disney all the way, the store itself is a letdown. Could use a major re-theming to improve the guest experience.
David Dominie says
Should have left it retail. Sometimes we could only find certain items there. I do like the rest area though. Plus, it seems like all I hear is that merchandise is all junk now.
