Disney World has so many transportation options, but one of the most iconic HAS to be the Monorail.
This awesome mode of transportation can take you from the Transportation and Ticket Center to Magic Kingdom, as well as to EPCOT, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. It’s also SO much fun to ride — it might as well be an attraction! Now, one of the Monorail trains is back in service after getting an update!
Monorail Lime has returned to service and we had to hop on and see what it looks like!
So what’s new with it? Well, it looks a bit refreshed on the inside, with that vibrant design we’ve seen implemented on other refreshed monorails.
A refurbished monorail might not be something you’d ordinarily notice when just busily making your way through the resort, but now that you’re a real Disney pro, you’ll know to look for this updated form of transportation.
If you’re looking for more information about Disney World transportation, we have a whole page dedicated to it right here. You can read more about the Monorail, buses, boats, and the Skyliner!
If you need help getting around, be sure to check out the new Transportation tab in the My Disney Experience app. And stay tuned for more Disney news.

We usually take the Monorail to Resort Hop to see the Christmas decorations and THEE Gingerbread House.

While it’s nice they refurbished some monorails, it honestly is not enough. Inside they all still feel, look, and smell old. Last weekend twice we experienced terrible sound systems and hot cabins with inadequate A/C that made the ride miserable what with other sweaty passengers jammed in with us. We cancelled our dinner at Citrico’s so as to not have to board the monorail again that night.
