It’s still summertime in Disney World, which typically means hot weather and big crowds.
But, this summer, we have been surprised by the crowds several times. And, even though the weather is hot, Disney World is already celebrating Halloween! With school starting back up again, people are either taking last minute vacays to the parks or they’re at home getting ready, so it’s a bit unpredictable when it comes to crowds. We’re going to take a look at the wait times from this past week to see just how busy it’s been!
Magic Kingdom
Let’s head to Magic Kingdom! This week, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train had the longest average wait time with 74 minutes!
After that, we had Peter Pan’s Flight at 65 minutes, Splash Mountain at 56 minutes, Jungle Cruise at 52 minutes, Space Mountain at 45 minutes, Haunted Mansion at 40 minutes, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin at 39 minutes, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at 37 minutes, Astro Orbiter at 33 minutes, Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh at 33 minutes, and Pirates of the Caribbean at 27 minutes.
Next, we had Tomorrowland Speedway at 25 minutes, Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid at 22 minutes, “it’s a small world” at 22 minutes, Magic Carpets of Aladdin at 17 minutes, Mickey’s PhilharMagic at 17 minutes, and Barnstormer featuring the Great Goofini at 16 minutes.
Then, we saw Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover at 14 minutes, Prince Charming Regal Carrousel at 11 minutes, Dumbo the Flying Elephant at 11 minutes, and Mad Tea Party at 10 minutes.
And rides that only had wait times in the single digits were Liberty Square Riverboat at 7 minutes and Carousel of Progress at 4 minutes. Rides with no waits were Country Bear Jamboree, Tom Sawyer Island, Hall of Presidents, Enchanted Tiki Room, and Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse.
Halloween just officially kicked off in Disney World as the first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party was just held! This is the first party since 2019, and you know we had to check out EVERYTHING going on! You can see how the whole night was right here.

You might notice a ride missing from this list — Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. This ride doesn’t actually have an official wait time because it uses a virtual queue which you have to get a boarding pass for, like you used to do with Rise of the Resistance. We’ve got some tips to help you snag one right here!

There used to be no worst ride at Walt Disney World other than the return to the airport. In the future it will be the new incarnation of Splash Mountain because there is no water fall in the swamp.
