COVID-19 requirements have been changing on lots of cruise lines.
We’ve already shared how things have shifted a bit for Royal Caribbean, Carnival Cruise Lines, and more. But now things are changing in a BIG way for Disney Cruise Line.
But soon, that COVID-19 vaccine requirement will be changing in a big way for little ones looking to sail.
According to the Disney Cruise Line website, starting September 2nd, 2022, for all sailings that leave from U.S. or Canadian ports, Disney will only be requiring all guests ages 12 and older to be fully vaccinated at the time of sailing.
Disney does note, however, that it “highly recommends” that those guests ages 11 and younger be fully vaccinated before sailings.
The website then goes on to specify what vaccines are accepted for different age groups.
Keep in mind that COVID-19 testing is also still required for those looking to board Disney Cruise ships. Fully vaccinated guests have to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test result that is taken 1 to 2 days before setting sail in order to be exempt from testing at the cruise terminal on embarkation day.
Guests who are not fully vaccinated have to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test that is taken 1 to 3 days before the sail date. There is then a second COVID-19 test done on embarkation day.

The big vaccination change really only affects some younger guests, but it still constitutes a big shift for those traveling with kiddos under the age of 12. We’ll continue to keep an eye out for more updates and let you know what we find.

Disney Cruise Line and Bahamas need to drop the Covid vax requirement for everyone cruising. It’s not necessary and should be eliminated for all guest of all ages. Per CDC, all people are to be treated equal now!
Jacqueline says
Can’t wait till Disney drops it’s vaccine mandate. Would love to book a cruise with them. It’s taking them forever.
Marya says
Seems just ignorant by now to still be requiring vaccination when even the cdc says it’s doesn’t stop transmission. Majority of Americans have had covid one way or another. Majority of cases are mild. Move on DCL.
