Disney World is not afraid of BIG changes.
Disney’s BoardWalk is currently going through a massive transformation, with new restaurants on the way along with the BoardWalk Inn itself getting some changes and updates. The BoardWalk Bakery closed in July to make way for the new BoardWalk Deli. We previously saw the full menu for the new restaurant and its new sign, and now we have a HUGE update!
The BoardWalk Deli is officially open! Formerly the home of the BoardWalk Bakery, this deli shop now serves baked bread, hot and cold deli sandwiches, and bakery items for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Note that the Deli Fountain is a spot for resort mug refills — important info if you’re looking to grab that soda or other drink with your refillable mug during your resort stay.
The colorful signs really make this place POP on the BoardWalk now. There are some talking about the spot’s desserts and pastries, or how it’s “delectable delightful” (ah, we love some good alliteration).
But enough about the details and the outside, let’s go INSIDE to look at the food!
We hopped in line…
…and eventually made our way to the cases showcasing the food items.

There are some grab-and-go-friendly options (like fruit cups and things of that nature) for a quick snack or meal.
There’s also a kids’ menu with some more basic sandwich options.
And you’ll find a variety of beverages too, including Joffrey’s Coffee, hot tea, and hot cocoa.
Here’s a look at some of those pastries. It’s like looking back at the competition results for the Great British Bakeoff.
Which would YOU get?!
See our FULL review of Breakfast at the BoardWalk Deli here!
For lunch and dinner, choose from hot and cold sandwiches served on ciabatta, focaccia, or traditional marble rye bread baked in-house.
You can try classics like an Italian Sub, a Warm Pastrami Reuben, and even a Roasted Chicken Sandwich.
But you can get more than just a sandwich! All sandwiches come with your choice of house-made chips, creamy coleslaw, or soup.
And for dessert, check out their signature Cannolis or Scones!
There are also salads, a plant-based sandwich option, dill pickles made in-house, and more.

When inside, you’ll find a mobile order pick-up area…
…drink station…
…and an area with napkins, plastic utensils, and condiments.
We (of course) had to order some breakfast items to give you our thoughts on the menu here. We started things off with the Bagel Breakfast Sandwich for $8.99. It’s made with Cage-free Egg, Bacon, Caramelized Onion, and Cheddar on a Plain Bagel, served with your choice of Side.
We also grabbed a plain bagel ($3.79)…
…and the Everything Bagel Sandwich for $8.99 (Cage-free Egg, Sausage Patty, and Cheddar on an Everything Bagel, served with choice of Side).
You can head over to the BoardWalk Deli between 7AM to 10PM each day to check out these new menu items!

Not the traditional New York/New Jersey Deli that I am used to. Too much pre-packaged Disney type food, and we all know that the weakest link in the Disney experience is the food. This stop is no exception. Where is the huge pastrami on rye with a New York deli style giant pickle, or the turkey/Swiss on Italian or any of the very popular other deli favorites. Disney missed the target once again by being to cute-sy for their own good. Also, I don’t get the name on the window reference….

So it’s the Boardwalk Bakery with a slightly different name and menu

This is a great addition to the Boardwalk! We usually stay there and will be staying there again for a week in early September. Coming soon!!! Going to definitely grab either breakfast (while we wait for MK bus) or lunch (on our way back to resort to rest for the afternoon). But it will be tricky as we have at least one TS reservation for each day of our stay. Getting excited….

Since when does Disney ever hit the mark when it comes to food? Unless the goal is to underwhelm and overprice…. This place looks like no exception.
I was thinking the same thing: a recycled setting, formerly housing the bakery, now home to a deli. Could’ve done the switchover overnight…
But yes, I would still go back there in a heartbeat!

Really disliked it. It is cheaper than a lot of quick service but we had a long wait, food was not great (except for chips!) and we had part of our food left out of the bag which was really common apparently. Super disappointing. Except the half moon cookie which was delicious.
