If you’ve been staying up-to-date on the expansion at Orlando International Airport, then you probably already know that the new terminal, Terminal C, will begin its two-week-long phased opening on September 19th.
In addition to advanced technology like facial recognition and a luggage identification system, this new terminal is getting TONS of new restaurants! These new restaurants include Sunshine Diner (by Chef Art Smith of Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ fame), Wine Bar George (yes, like the one in Disney Springs), and several restaurants by the folks responsible for The Polite Pig (another Disney Springs restaurant). With the opening of the new terminal just a month away, these new restaurants are getting ready to open, too. Cask & Larder, the company behind a restaurant coming to Terminal C shared some concept art for the new restaurants!
Cask & Larder, the company responsible for The Polite Pig in Disney Springs and a new restaurant in Terminal C at Orlando International Airport (MCO) recently shared some concept art for the restaurants!
We’ve seen a lot of this concept art before, but in case you’ve missed them, here’s a look at Orlando Brewing Bar & Bites…
…Olde Hearth Bread Company…
…Barnie’s Coffee and Tea…
…and Wine Bar George!
These restaurants are just a few of the 24 new restaurants coming to Terminal C, so there won’t be a shortage of places for travelers to eat when the terminal opens next month!
Orlando International Airport also recently Tweeted a map of what the new terminal is going to look like. The upper-most level of the terminal, Level 6, will be where Arrivals is, and Departures will be at Level 2. Based on this map, it looks like a majority of the food locations are going to be on Level 2, with other locations on Level 4 and Level 6. Security will be on Level 2, as well.
When it opens, Terminal C will have 11 airlines flying in and out of it, including JetBlue, which has been in the news recently due to the airline’s proposed merger with Spirit Airlines.
