Disney World is no stranger to severe weather.
Especially in the warmer months, it’s super common to see severe thunderstorms in the parks. Sometimes a rain shower will pop in just for 10 minutes and then it’s sunny again like nothing even happened! And, if you’re in Disney World right now, you need to pay attention to the current weather.
UPDATE: A flood advisory is now in effect until 7PM EDT for Orange County in Florida (part of Disney World is located in Orange County).

Most of Disney World is in Orange County, but part of the resort is in Osceola County. Heavy rain is happening around the Orlando area at the moment, which is what has caused the flood advisory to be issued.
We’ve seen flooding happen in Disney World in the past, with the streets being filled with water in places like EPCOT and Hollywood Studios.
It’s important to listen to Cast Member instructions if there is severe weather happening and to take shelter when necessary. Several rides and attractions do shut down for weather in Disney World — you can find a full list right here.
We’ll let you know if anything changes with the situation, so stay tuned to DFB for more Disney World news and updates.
