Think the Most Popular Attraction in the U.S. is Disney World? Think Again

We’re obviously a bit biased when it comes to our love for the Disney Parks — they’re basically on our minds 24/7!

But, we can’t deny that there are a lot of other super popular vacation destinations around the country. There’s other theme parks like Dollywood and Universal Orlando, as well as general vacation spots like beaches and national parks. A ranking was just released with the most popular attractions in the United States, and it might surprise you to see where Disney World ended up on the list!

Airport Parking Reservations recently ranked the top 10 attractions in the United States, according to WKMG. They based the ranking on the total number of Google searches each year, social media mentions, and TripAdvisor ratings. Walt Disney World did end up making the list at number 6, so there were 5 destinations listed ahead of it!

In 5th place is Yellowstone National Park…

…and, coming in at the number 1 spot is the Grand Canyon!

So, it looks like Disney World isn’t actually the most popular place in the U.S., according to these results! Rounding out the top 10 was Myrtle Beach at number 7, Lake Tahoe at number 8, Universal Studios Hollywood at number 9, and the Statue of Liberty at number 10.

The same ranking showed the most popular destination in each state as well, and Walt Disney World was the winner for Florida.

Disney World still is very popular, but we have seen it be beat out by other theme parks and attractions on various different lists, like a ranking of the best theme parks in the country and the best amusement park in the country.
