Things are CHANGING all over Disney World and it seems that the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover has been impacted by some changes…again.
We’ve seen the PeopleMover be closed, stuck, and evacuated, but in 2022 something really big happened when the PeopleMover got some NEW narration. Now, another change has been made at this slow-moving, relaxing, and classic attraction.
As we approached the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover in Magic Kingdom in late August 2022, we noticed that something was different. Some brand new PeopleMover signs have appeared!
First, there is now a new sign in front of the ride!
It is bright blue in color, and it features the word “PeopleMover” and an indication that the ride is sponsored by Enterprise. Interestingly, it does not have the “Tomorrowland Transit Authority” phrase in front of the word PeopleMover, but now just refers to the ride by the shorter name many guests already use for it. The My Disney Experience App, however, still displays the full “Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover” ride name.
As you’re walking toward the ride from the sides, this new sign will be quite visible and could help you better identify the ride’s entrance area.
There also appears to be a new sign right at the entrance to the ride, where you hop on those moving platforms.
For reference, here’s a look at the older sign that was there.
The new sign in this area now says “Welcome Aboard” with the designation that the ride is sponsored by Enterprise.

The back of the white “Welcome Aboard” sign says “Thanks for Riding” and also has the Enterprise logo on it.
We’ve also seen changes made to the Magic Kingdom’s Disney Enchantment fireworks show, with a new section now added featuring Walt and Roy Disney. Plus, important changes are coming to the fireworks times in Magic Kingdom, and Disney has changed some things (resort-wide) when it comes to Park Passes and Genie+.
We also continue to see construction changes happening at attractions like TRON in Magic Kingdom or the upcoming Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana in EPCOT.
We’ll continue to keep an eye out for more Disney news and let you know what we find.

Brian says
I hope that they plan to extend the Peoplemover track to include passing through the new TRON ride.
Sarah M. says
Ugh. It’s lost the fun that makes it part of the attraction. No retro feels, just….a sign.
Gary A. says
It looks like all the Christmas decorations on the tree and around the room were changed out, and the presents were also replaced or rewrapped. Looking forward to seeing the changes on the CoP when we visit DW this December.
I also agree with Sarah N. that the old PeopleMover signs were way better than the new signage which are dismal. I’m assuming all the Imagineers were busy so they had the new hires directing traffic in the parking lots come up with these new signs.
Pris says
I agree with Brian. It WOULD be cool to extend the ride but, knowing how often it breaks down, unless Disney is willing to spend the money to update the system I doubt it would ever happen. The bean counters wouldn’t think there’s enough ROI to do it.
Don says
Many changes at DisneyWorld…I’m trying to think of a good one…
Rich says
I really like the older sign much better.
David Dominie says
I wonder how much Bob Paycheck is making from Enterprise to have them sponsor the
TTA. Just another money grab for Bob and his cronies.
June says
I’m with Sarah M. I liked the old font and the prior art deco design of the sign.
Ken says
Think I will wait 5 years or so before I go back. Maybe they will have all of the glitches out of all the attractions in the park will be open
Alice says
We will still ride this ride no matter how many times we get stuck on it! It’s anice way to unwind from a day of rushing to ride rides via Genie+.
Randy C says
I hope the new narration continues to page “Mr. Tom Morrow,” especially since Nate is the premier Mr. Tom Morrow himself! What a classy guy. I love his hat, classy shirts and enthusiasm, on par with that of AJ!
